About point.me

At point.me, we’re on a mission to increase the spending power for millions of people by turning loyalty points into travel wealth. We are committed to simplifying the loyalty points experience and increasing our customers' spending power by using our real-time search and booking engine, making it easy to book flights with points.

Over the last two-plus decades, points and miles have evolved into a multi-billion-dollar industry. Exact numbers aren’t published, but it’s estimated that $300 billion in award points are issued every year. For context, that’s on par with the GDP of Greece!

Join us and be part of a fast-growing company where your work will make a real impact on the future of award booking. We offer competitive salaries, meaningful equity, comprehensive health coverage, and the opportunity to work fully remotely as part of a distributed team.

The Position

We're looking for a Product Designer to join our consumer product team. You'll report directly to our Head of Consumer Product and work alongside our senior designer, product managers, and engineers to improve the core point.me experience.

This role is for someone who wants to solve challenging new problems and build fast. We're shipping a lot of net-new products right now, and you'll start by owning high-value optimization work end-to-end and partnering on larger initiatives.

You'll move where the business needs you. A conversion experiment this week, a net-new surface the next, and a research-heavy problem after that. If you want breadth and are energized by working across all aspects of a product, this is the right place for you.

What You'll Do

Design and ship

  • Own focused design work end-to-end across the consumer funnel: onboarding, search results, rate presentation, booking, and free-to-paid conversion moments.

  • Partner on larger net-new initiatives with our senior designer and carry them through detailed design to engineering handoff.

  • Translate product requirements, analytics, and member feedback into clear, testable design solutions.

  • Prototype and pressure-test concepts quickly, using AI to help you get to a real answer faster.

  • Produce production-ready designs, prototypes, and specs, and stay close to engineering through implementation and QA.

  • Contribute to and help maintain our design system as our surface area grows.

Research and iterate

  • Support user research and usability testing and turn what we learn into design changes.

  • Dig into session recordings, user feedback, and funnel analytics to spot friction and propose improvements without waiting to be asked.

  • Build real fluency in award travel — loyalty programs, award charts, transfer partners — so your design decisions are grounded in how travelers think.

Who You Are

  • You've shipped consumer digital products with engineers.

  • You have a strong sense for visuals and interaction. You care about hierarchy, typography, empty states, error states, and the edge cases that make a product feel trustworthy.

  • You have a deep empathy for users and seek to understand their problems before opening Figma.

  • You think in flows and can spot when a change in one place affects the experience three steps later.

  • You’re a strong communicator. We’re a fully remote team and decisions happen through screens, both face-to-face and in writing.

  • You’re flexible and eager to jump into different areas of the product and experience as the team tackles the highest priority opportunities.

  • Bonus: you love to travel and have a foundational understanding of the credit card points & miles and/or award travel ecosystem, or a strong desire to quickly learn about the space.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of product or UX design experience

  • A portfolio is required

  • Fluency in Figma

  • Working familiarity with AI design tools. We use Claude Design and Figma Make day-to-day. Experience with tools in this category matters more than experience with those two specifically.

  • Experience with A/B testing, B2C conversion optimization, and/or growth-oriented design

  • Experience with user research or usability testing methods is a plus

  • Experience in travel, fintech, and/or loyalty is a plus.

Why You’ll Like Working Here

Join our growing team! Here at point.me we believe in taking care of our team, so that our team can take care of our customers. All employees are offered the following:

  • Competitive salaries

  • Ownership with meaningful equity

  • Fully-paid Medical, Dental, Vision, HRA for US employees

  • 100% distributed workforce, so you can contribute from anywhere

  • Open vacation policy

  • Paid family leave for all parents

The anticipated salary range for this role's listed level is $115,000 - $140,000. Level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, in alignment with market data.

All applicants must be available to work continental US hours.
