Founding Product Designer at Silna

In healthcare, trust isn't just important, it's everything. We're looking for a Product Designer to help establish Silna as the most trusted name in healthcare through exceptional user experience and thoughtful design. Having achieved product-market fit and secured Series A funding, we need a design leader who understands that in healthcare software, every interaction matters. You'll report to the CEO and help create intuitive interfaces that help medical practices focus on patient care by making complex insurance and billing workflows feel effortless. This role goes beyond traditional product design as you'll be instrumental in building a brand and product experience that healthcare professionals trust to handle their critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice-Centered Design: Create user experiences that demonstrate deep empathy for healthcare providers, understanding their daily workflows, time constraints, and the critical nature of their administrative tasks

  • Trust Through Design: Develop interfaces that convey reliability, security, and expertise—ensuring every touchpoint reinforces Silna's credibility as a healthcare operations partner

  • Defining the design function: Infuse design into Silna’s culture and ethos.

  • Complexity Simplified: Transform intricate insurance workflows and billing processes into clear, intuitive user experiences that reduce cognitive load and prevent errors

  • Brand Experience: Partner with marketing to ensure consistent visual identity and messaging across all digital touchpoints, website, product interfaces, marketing materials and conference presentations

  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate user research insights into design solutions that improve practice efficiency and reduce administrative burden

  • Design System Leadership: Build and maintain design systems that ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency as our product grows

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of product design experience in B2B software or SaaS companies

  • Portfolio demonstrating successful design of complex workflow solutions

  • Strong understanding of user research methodologies and data-driven design decisions

  • Experience designing for multiple user types and stakeholder groups

  • Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.) and prototyping

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and marketing teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building design systems and processes from scratch at high-growth companies

  • History of designing workflow automation or business process software

  • Understanding of healthcare operations, billing, or insurance processes

  • Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices

What Sets You Apart:
  • You have an eye for detail that borders on obsessive. You notice when buttons are 2px off, and it keeps you up at night

  • You get energized by constraints rather than frustrated by them

  • Strong passion around customer empathy

  • Experience being an early design hire at a high-growth startup

  • You can defend your design decisions with data, but also trust your instincts

About Silna

Healthcare is obsessed with optimizing a broken system. We're making sure it never breaks.

Silna Health attacks the root cause of denied claims: the fragmented, incompatible systems that govern prior authorizations, eligibility verification, and benefit checks, turning workflows that used to take days into decisions made in minutes, before care is ever delivered.

We work across behavioral health, physical health, ambulatory care, and post-acute care, where administrative failure doesn't just cost money; it can delay or deny patient access entirely. We're backed by Accel and Bain Capital Ventures, and we're building fast.

What We Offer
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-growing tech company

  • Rare opportunity to shape and define an entirely new market category

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

  • Collaborative and innovative work environment

  • 401(k)

  • Unlimited PTO
