GTM Recruiter

Location: San Francisco or New York (Hybrid)

About Kira

Kira is harnessing transformative AI technologies to make world-class teaching and learning accessible for everyone. We're building AI-powered tools that help teachers teach and students learn — from auto-grading to student assistance — so classrooms everywhere can do more, faster, and better. Kira is a rapidly growing startup backed by top-tier venture capital funds including New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Andrew Ng's AI Fund, and Primavera.

About the Role

As Kira scales from an early-stage team into the go-to AI platform for schools, we need a GTM Recruiter who can build the commercial engine behind that growth. This is a high-ownership role running searches across Sales, Customer Success & Implementation, Marketing, and Partnerships — partnering directly with the CEO, Head of People, and GTM leaders to hire the people who will bring Kira to millions of educators and students.

You'll be the first dedicated GTM recruiter at Kira. That means you won't just fill roles — you'll design the playbooks, sourcing strategies, and interview loops that set the bar for how we hire commercial talent as we grow. If you're energized by early-stage ambiguity, love closing exceptional candidates on a mission that matters, and can translate AI-native product work into a compelling story for GTM talent, this role is for you.

What You'll Do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for GTM roles across Sales (AE, SDR, Sales Leadership), Customer Success & Implementation, Marketing, and Partnerships.

  • Partner with hiring managers and the CEO to translate headcount plans into sharp, prioritized search strategies — including role scoping, leveling, comp, and interview design.

  • Build and run creative sourcing strategies to reach top GTM talent at AI-native, EdTech, and high-growth SaaS companies. Outbound is a core muscle in this role.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and closer for candidates — articulating Kira's mission, product, market, and opportunity in a way that resonates with commercial operators.

  • Codify Kira's GTM hiring playbook: scorecards, interview kits, calibration norms, and structured evaluation practices that scale with the team.

  • Maintain a high bar on candidate experience, data hygiene, and pipeline health in our ATS (Ashby), with clear reporting to leadership on progress and bottlenecks.

  • Partner with the Head of People on offers, competitive positioning, and market intelligence for GTM comp and equity.

What We're Looking For
  • 5–8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with significant time recruiting GTM roles (Sales, CS, Marketing, or Partnerships) at a high-growth startup or scale-up.

  • A demonstrated track record of closing senior commercial talent in competitive markets — you know how to build conviction with candidates and help them see a future they can't ignore.

  • Strong outbound sourcing chops: you don't wait for applicants, and you have the tools, tactics, and creativity to build pipeline from scratch.

  • Fluency (or strong curiosity) around AI products and technical concepts — enough to credibly represent an AI-native company to GTM candidates and partner with leaders on role definition.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mindset. You've worked at early-stage companies and know how to set up systems where none exist.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong candidate judgment, and a bias for action.

  • Experience running searches in modern ATS tooling (Ashby, Greenhouse, or similar).

Nice to Have
  • Experience recruiting for EdTech, AI, or companies selling into K-12 / higher education.

  • Previous experience as the first or early recruiter at a Series A/B company.

Why Kira
  • Work on a mission that matters — putting world-class AI tools in the hands of every teacher and student.

  • Partner directly with Kira's founders, CEO, and GTM leadership on the hires that will define the next phase of the company.

  • Join a team backed by NEA, AI Fund, and Primavera, with the pace, ambition, and resources to match.

  • Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Kira is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diverse perspectives and are committed to building a team where everyone can do the best work of their career.
