Remote Mental Health Therapist – Older Adults (LCSW-R, LMFT, LMHC)

Older adults are too often overlooked by mental healthcare. Sailor Health exists to change that. Through Medicare-covered therapy, care navigation, and healthcare advocacy, we help older adults move through grief, loss, isolation, and life’s hardest transitions with more ease and peace of mind.

Our model is built around their needs and yours:

• We handle everything outside the session. Care Navigators and Healthcare Advocates take on patients’ non-clinical needs, so your work stays clinical.

• You’re part of a team. Clinical Quality Leads provide ongoing consultation, and our provider support team answers questions as they come up.

• Demand is steady. We serve patients in all 50 states, with a consistent flow of referrals.

Location: Fully remote, anywhere in the U.S. | Schedule: You set it, 7 days a week available

We’re hiring independently licensed therapists for part-time or full-time roles, paid per session. Choose the setup that fits your life:

• 1099 contractor: starting at 15 hours per week

• W2 employee: starting at 25 hours per week, with full benefits

• A full caseload, built for you. Share your availability and we’ll match you with patients who fit. No marketing, no chasing referrals. Most clinicians have a full caseload within a few weeks.

• Your schedule, your call. Work the days and hours that suit you. No on-call, no required evenings.

• Support that’s actually there. A dedicated clinical lead and live admin help. Our providers tell us it’s the most supported they’ve felt in telehealth.

• Less paperwork, more therapy. Our telehealth platform and AI documentation assistant handle the busywork.

• Room to grow. Free CEUs, geriatric-focused training, and clinical consultation with experienced directors.

• Pay that works for you. 1099 clinicians earn competitive per-session rates, paid as full cash compensation.

• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to older adults via telehealth

• Build individualized treatment plans around each patient’s goals and needs

• Manage your own caseload and clinical decisions, with a supportive care team behind you

• Complete documentation in our EMR, with AI-assisted notes

• Join regular, paid case consultations with experienced clinical leaders

• Must be located in the United States

• Active, independent clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, or equivalent) in the state where this role is posted

• Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or marriage and family therapy

• Experience with older adult or geriatric populations preferred

• Comfortable with telehealth platforms and electronic health records

• Medicare billing experience a plus (we handle billing either way)
