Position Overview
Booker DiMaio is building a technical support team for a newly awarded Internal Revenue Service contract supporting SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer / Data Analyst - Federal to develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations and turn complex datasets into actionable business insights. The position will work with stakeholders, data analysts, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements, build reliable data models and visualizations, and support data-driven decision-making. The role will also contribute to data analysis, reporting governance, automation, forecasting, and identification of risks and opportunities.
Security / Eligibility Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status with at least three consecutive years of U.S. residency from the date of legal entry as an LPR.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain IRS staff-like access and successfully complete the required Moderate Risk background investigation and security screening process.
  • Background investigation and onboarding requirements will be initiated following selection.
  • Must successfully complete applicable IRS personnel-security requirements, including fingerprinting, security training, and related screening requirements.
  • IRS staff-like access is subject to applicable IRS eligibility and suitability requirements and must be maintained for the duration of the engagement.

Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated professional experience supporting U.S. Federal Government programs or federal government customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
  • Strong experience with data modeling and DAX.
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and complex datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings and translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong attention to data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
  • Work with stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex datasets and business requirements into actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain data models and use DAX to support analytical and reporting requirements.
  • Connect to and integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Optimize report and dashboard performance while maintaining data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Analyze procurement and operational data to identify trends, risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Support workload tracking, executive and leadership dashboards, measurement frameworks, and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to forecasting, predictive analysis, data storytelling, and development of business cases when appropriate.
  • Support documentation, dashboard governance, reporting-request processes, and cataloging of automations, reports, and dashboards.
