About the Role

Our sales pipeline is moving up market. We're introducing AngelList to larger funds and more complex firms for the first time, where more people weigh in on each decision and every account takes deeper research. Our AEs close best when the calls on their calendar are with firms that are ready to buy.

We're hiring a Sales Development Rep (SDR) to build a better pipeline for our Account Executives (AEs). You'll research each firm, find the people who make the decision, and start the conversation. When a firm is ready, you'll hand it to an AE. You'll track the funnel in Salesforce and use the numbers to decide which accounts get your time.

The pipeline you build will show up directly in our closed revenue.

You will build the playbook here alongside the Head of Sales (who you will report to), our AEs, and our other SDR.

Responsibilities

  • Own inbound and outbound prospect qualification, ensuring every lead is worked with speed and rigor
  • Run early discovery calls and first conversations that uncover real business need and set AEs up to close
  • Design and iterate on the qualification framework: the questions, signals, and criteria that determine when a deal moves forward
  • Build and manage the SDR tech stack, including sequencing tools, scoring models, and AI-assisted workflows
  • Track pipeline quality metrics and partner with marketing to make lead quality a shared measure across the funnel
  • Shape how this function grows. The processes and systems you build will define how we scale.

What we’re looking for

  • 1-2 of years of experience prospecting in an SDR, BDR, or adjacent sales role and owned a pipeline target.
  • You've sold into larger organizations where more than one person had to say yes
  • You've written cold outreach that people actually answered.
  • You've used funnel data to change where you spend your time.
  • You've built a process where there wasn't one, and used AI or automation to remove manual work.
  • You can align internal teams around an idea, in writing
  • Bonus: Familiarity with private markets, GPs, institutional LPs, or alternative assets
