Enable Internet businesses to sell across borders

We’re tackling a key challenge for all Internet businesses today: navigating the changing landscape of tax. In the last few years, software businesses have gone from not having to worry about sales tax, to needing to monitor their exposure, calculate local sales tax rates, and file returns in over 20 US states and many countries worldwide.

So much of our economy today and tomorrow exists online. The internet economy has grown 6x over the last 10 years and software development productivity is only positioned to accelerate. Companies should be able to transact with customers everywhere. Anrok is building the tools behind the scenes that make compliant digital commerce a reality for companies big and small.

Anrok connects with billing and payment systems to automate sales tax compliance end-to-end. We have raised over $50M from leading investors like Sequoia, Index, and Khosla Ventures.

Being an SDR at Anrok is, first and foremost, about hitting targets and driving revenue. But beyond that, it’s about joining a community that is deeply committed to your success and career growth. We believe that the future of our sales organization lies with our SDRs, which is why we place a strong emphasis on enablement and career advancement. You’ll receive the training, support, and mentorship you need to excel, with a clear path to advance within our sales team.

As our Founding Sales Development Representative, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the scope and function of this role.  Our next team member will have a flexible mindset, enjoy iterating on sales processes & strategies, and has a knack for connecting with finance leaders.

In this role, you will:

  • Raise awareness and generate interest for Anrok through cold calling, emails, and social outreach to prospective customers

  • Manage your own book of accounts and set the strategy for effective pipeline generation

  • Develop a deep understanding of Anrok’s value proposition and products to effectively communicate their benefits to prospects.

  • Master the use of tools like Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Gong to identify and prioritize accounts.

  • Organize and implement a multi-channel prospecting approach, maximizing your outreach efforts by developing and utilizing sequences in Outreach.

  • Schedule meetings on account executives’ calendars and ensure all activities are accurately logged for tracking and follow up.

What excites us:

  • Minimum 1 year of sales development or business development experience.

  • You are not afraid to pick up the phone. Cold calling is at the heart of this role. Your excitement for picking up the phone and engaging with potential customers will set you apart.

  • Relentless Work Ethic: Meeting or exceeding the daily activity minimums of 120 activities requires a strong work ethic. You’ll need to be self-motivated and disciplined, constantly pushing yourself to stay productive and focused.

  • Adaptability and Critical Thinking: Every day will bring new challenges, and your ability to adapt and think on your feet is crucial. Whether it’s refining your approach to a tough prospect or finding creative solutions to get in front of decision makers, your problem solving skills will be key.

  • Self-starters who are organized and resourceful.

  • Team players with strong ambition & intuition.

  • Finance degree or Accounting background is a plus.

The expected salary range for this role is $100,000 OTE. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.

What we offer:

  • The equity upside of an early-stage startup with the product-market fit of a later-stage company.

  • Hybrid work model in our office hubs - San Francisco, CA or New York, NY or Salt Lake City

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance covered 100%.

  • One Medical membership covered, flexible sick benefits and more.

  • Generous PTO and parental leave.

  • Annual learning and development stipend for books, online courses, and conferences, as well as a curious team to share your learnings with.

  • Annual team offsite and in-person opportunities around our growing Anrok hubs

  • All the latest gadgets you need to thrive at work.

At Anrok, we embrace a dynamic and flexible work environment through our hybrid and remote model. For candidates based in San Francisco, New York City, and Salt Lake City - we follow a hybrid work model of 3 days per week.
