As we continue to grow in the U.S., our primary focus is on serving small and medium-sized businesses and helping them solve their everyday delivery needs. Over time, we expect our customer base to expand to include larger businesses with more complex logistics needs, including customers that leverage API integrations to connect directly with our platform. And we need your help to get us there!

We are looking for a Sales Manager, based in New York. The ideal candidate will lead and motivate our Sales team to meet and exceed team and individual goals. Your job is to build a high-achieving sales team that identifies sales leads, introduces Lalamove’s services to new clients, and builds strong, lasting customer relationships.

What you'll do:

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team. Set clear individual and team goals, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and hire and develop talent as the team continues to grow.

  • Account Management & Growth: Guide the team in nurturing and growing existing customer relationships while maintaining a strong focus on new customer acquisition. Help the sales team effectively balance account growth, customer follow-up, and new business development.

  • Process Building & Scalability: Help shape how our sales organization operates by building scalable processes and best practices. Identify gaps, introduce structure, and develop repeatable workflows across prospecting, pipeline management, account management, reporting, and overall sales execution.

  • Analytics & Performance Management: Use sales data and KPIs to understand team performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate insights into action. Establish effective reporting and provide management with clear visibility into performance, pipeline, and areas of opportunity.

  • Sales Execution: Bring strong hands-on sales experience and a deep understanding of prospecting, lead qualification, relationship building, negotiation, and closing. Lead by example and help the team continuously improve how they identify and convert new business opportunities.

  • Coaching & Consultative Selling: Coach the team on consultative selling and how to understand customer needs, position Lalamove’s services effectively, and build long-term relationships. Establish clear expectations around both input and output KPIs and help the team develop the skills needed to consistently achieve them.

What we seek:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant sales experience, including at least 2-3 years of experience managing and developing a sales team. Experience in a startup, logistics, or similarly fast-paced environment is a plus. 

  • Bachelor's degree Business, Finance or related discipline 

  • Excellent problem solving, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and take accountability  

  • Must have excellent presentation and communications skills and be fluent in English

  • Proficiency in CRM programs is a plus
