Account Manager, Specialty Partnerships
About the Team
You will be an integral part of the 3 person Partnerships team, reporting into the Sr. Manager of Partnerships. This team is part of Harry’s function which also includes PR, Social, Innovation, Insights, and Brand Marketing. You will have a dotted line to the Retail function through which you will report sales monthly.
About the Role
Specialty Wholesale at Harry’s drives differentiation and elevation of the Harry’s brand. As Specialty Account Manager, you are responsible for delivering top tier service to key accounts while also building best best-in-class process internally. Presentation, organization, and attention to detail are paramount for both external and internal communication. You must also be a self starter, proactive in seeking new opportunities to grow and improve the business.
You should be comfortable with the full sales cycle of Majors & Department stores including prospecting, pitching, terms negotiations, evergreen management, and reporting. Internally, you should have a strong foundation in both retail operations/economics and retail marketing as you’ll work cross-functionally teams including planning, supply chain, distribution, finance, IT, brand, social.
What you will accomplish
Ownership of existing Majors (AKA key accounts) within our Specialty channel driving brand visibility & sales.
End to end development of new business within this channel: Prospecting, pitching, on-boarding, and launching new accounts
Contribute to the strategy and execution of our Barber Shop channel creating best in class internal and external program guides, pricing structures, and SKU bundle offerings. Then prospect, pitch, and on-board new accounts.
Mentor Account Coordinator to improve management of Independents and Hospitality channels, and to build a deeper general retail skill set
Maintain a calendar of events and activation's across all Specialty channels working closely with Brand Partnerships, Social, and PR to execute
Build and maintain best-in-class internal sales and forecast reporting communicated to immediate team weekly, and presented to cross functional leadership teams monthly (finance, inventory planning, retail)
Co-lead the integration of a B2B platform with Specialty team, then assist in the on-boarding and training of all applicable partners
This Should Describe You
2+ years of experience managing luxury/specialty accounts in a CPG startup environment
Comfortable managing the detailed nuances of several different accounts simultaneously
Exceptionally organized with a keen eye for brand aesthetic whether it’s in the presentation of a PowerPoint deck or the formatting of an excel model
Self-starter and highly autonomous, someone who constantly looking for ways to improve the business
Consistent and powerful communicator with strong written, oral, and presentation skills
Strong understanding of the inner workings of PR, social, and brand marketing and how they can be leveraged in retail
Experience managing and goal-setting with a direct report or intern
You have experience working with retail systems (ERP/warehouse systems, retailer portals, and B2B platforms) and tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Google suite)
You’re direct, sincere, and comfortable sharing your perspective honestly. You have a sense of humor and are a dedicated team player.
