Customer Sales Director - Enterprise (Any Metro)

OVERVIEW:
Skillsoft is currently seeking a talented Customer Sales Director to join our IT & Developer Solution sales team. This role is to help to continue with this growth and based on a dual compensation model. The ideal person will be comfortable speaking to senior decision makers across different IT departments, including the CIO, and will understand the key challenges faced with delivering IT innovation and added-value to any organisation that is focused on driving business outcomes to improve customer centricity. You should be comfortable supporting this type of talk track and understand how our solutions can enable and support current and future projects and role-based requirements. This is a highly competitive area of our portfolio, so understanding our value wedge is essential. This role reports to Skillsoft’s Chief Information Security Officer.
OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:
- Drive top-line revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of our IT and Developer solutions line footprint within our existing customer base
- Sell our vast IT and Developer solutions line directly to Enterprise IT Departments.
- Own responsibility to meet and exceed revenue goals
- Win by representing a solution line with key competitive differentiators
- Influence customers and prospects at the senior IT and Development leadership level
- Establish strategic plans and objectives to drive desired business growth
- Partner with other Customer Sales Directors, marketing and support resources in the successful advancement of critical opportunities and market penetration
- Develop a thorough understanding of Skillsoft sales plays related to the Speed of Technology and Aspire.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years successful sales experience in IT sales
- Experience selling directly into IT Departments (specifically CIOs) is required
- Experience in the learning or human capital, human capital technology space is preferred
- Ability to exceed sales targets, a keen understanding of the steps involved in a sales cycle and ability to leverage each stage to advance the sale
- Ability to prospect and manage a designated territory to maximize revenue growth
- Skilled at demonstrating software and speaking the language of IT and Developers
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, be aggressive, competitive, and demonstrate a positive, winning attitude
- Negotiate effectively based on value and time to close
- Ability to understand complex client requirements and to clearly articulate the company’s offerings to develop solutions to meet those requirements
- Willingness to travel (30% plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
