WE NEED:

SALES DIRECTOR, BRANDED CONTENT

The sales director will sell across PCHMedia’s portfolio of products with a specific focus on scaling our Wide Open Media (WOM) assets. WOM is a PCH owned modern media company embracing and amplifying the collective American identity. Our house of brands connects engaged audiences with educational and entertaining content deeply rooted in their passions and includes curated content across: Wide Open Spaces, Wide Open Country, Wide Open Eats, Wide Open Pets, Wide Open Roads, Rare, FanBuzz, and Altdriver. Collectively these properties reach over 100M Heartland consumers each month via digital, video, and social platforms.  

YOU ARE:

A creative, ambitions, organized, and successful digital sales director with substantial experience selling content and BIG ideas. You have a proven track record of executing sales and evangelizing a variety of customized solutions across mobile, video, desktop, social, and branded content campaigns. Additionally, you have an established agency rolodex and have effectively forged cross vertical relationships.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTY SNAPSHOT:

  • Meet or exceed revenue goals on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis across Digital, Mobile, Video, and Branded Content
  • Identify and close new sales opportunities
  • Operate as media team leader/mentor and help scale team through hiring and onboarding
  • Expand existing account relationships evangelizing additional PCHMedia products
  • Schedule and execute multiple in-person face-to-face meetings a week that may include lunches, dinners, and client entertaining (once we can do these things again).
  • Act as the main liaison between Wide Open Media and advertisers on all marketing programs, including but not limited to advertising campaigns, custom content programs, events, social promotions, etc.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years of media sales experience
  • Experience scaling and mentoring a digital sales team
  • Proven track record of consistent over-achievement in past AE roles (top 10-20% of company,) advancement and increased responsibility in past positions
  • Possess a rolodex of Advertising agency and Brand/Client relationships and experience
  • Exceptional client relationships, communications skills, and impeccable attention to detail
  • Campaign and custom content management experience
  • A positive, upbeat attitude and someone who is “Win-Win” with a desire to scale a business
  • Desire and capability to work in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment
  • Proven success in working autonomously
