That means no punch cards, no coupons or need to show the app. For merchants this is a great way to acquire and engage with customers while increasing customer loyalty.

Stash is seeking an experienced, strategic Sales Director to help build out the Stash Cash Back program at our rapidly growing startup. As our first sales hire, you will be responsible for developing and implementing national partnerships onto the Cash Back platform and driving that strategy forward to build powerful relationships that increase brand visibility, acquire new users, enhance user engagement and grow revenue. What you’ll do:

  • Develop, own and execute upon an end-to-end sales strategy and roadmap for card-linked offers at Stash, ensuring that the company meets its revenue objectives
  • Build, grow and manage a strong sales pipeline of merchant partners and meet an aggressive quota of partnership deals
  • Source potential partner merchants, qualify leads and leverage the Stash platform to build long-lasting relationships that deliver results
  • Engage different stakeholder levels/roles within a merchant to understand the various market drivers that impact their market
  • Harness consultative selling to offer unique perspectives on our partner’s businesses and industries, which link back to Stash Cash Back solutions
  • Coach customer stakeholders and build consensus for Stash Cash Back within their organization
  • Own the partner relationship cycle from initial sale to campaign review
  • Communicate and collaborate with Stash leadership team throughout each phase of the sales process
  • Build internal processes and collaborate with product/engineering/data science teams to onboard and support partner merchants
  • Execute responsibilities at the highest level of precision and efficiency

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of strong sales experience in an outside/closing role for brands with a physical retail presence 
  • Proven success solutions selling in martech or adtech, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience calling into marketing executives
  • Strong experience building sales strategy and processes from the ground up, and working with cross-functional teams to manage brand partners
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong hustle, a strategic mind, creativity and a positive, solutions-oriented approach 
  • Entrepreneurialism, maturity and the ability to execute autonomously as a team of one
  • The ability to travel up to 30% of the time
