VP Sales, East
Have you been directly involved in building and leading an all-star enterprise sales team and scaling a business?
We are hiring a VP Sales, East to expand and accelerate the growth of Smartly.io in one of our key markets - the US.
As the VP Sales, East you will represent Smartly.io across all verticals in the market, and you will also maintain and develop our culture internally by leading the development of our sales operations and methodology.

As the VP Sales, East you will:
- Drive market growth and lead sales and strategic partnership efforts with full accountability to deliver revenue.
- Establish regional sales and operational processes to build efficiency and manage costs.
- Build Smartly.io’s presence and improve brand awareness in the US: work closely with our marketing team to build thought leadership, engage in community building and facilitate PR and media relations.
- Drive recruitment for high caliber A-team members and develop both junior and senior sales executives to reach new revenue heights.
- Embody the Smartly.io values and play a lead role to ensure the culture engages employees, resonates locally and is consistent globally.
We’re looking for you if:
- You love building and scaling businesses. Ideally you have previously built out the team and operations for a similar high-growth technology company at a larger scale.
- You lead by example and believe in the power of self-organizing teams. You love building connections with people, internally and externally.
- You feel comfortable communicating with customers and partners, particularly in the C-suite. You are able to explain complex concepts in terms of value and successfully attract new business. You want to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done. You are excited to help the team navigate all of the operational and challenging aspects of a developing a new territory, vertical and market.
- You are highly analytical and inquisitive. If something seems off, you want to figure out what is going on and fix it. If there is something you don’t know, you want to learn all about it.
- You can think globally, act regionally and locally, and thrive in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment. You like and are willing to travel, and to collaborate with the global headquarters in Helsinki and all other offices around the world.
- You are looking to expand your understanding of the online advertising ecosystem and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Google, Pinterest and more.
- You have at least 8-10 years of experience in building and managing an enterprise sales team.
