About the Role:

As VP of Sales, you share our mission to create amazing sports experiences for all. LeagueApps is seeking an ambitious, metrics-driven sales leader who can lead our sales organization by driving our mission and our business. 

You have a proven track record of success with defining the sales playbook, sales execution, recruiting, management and operations while exceeding growth expectations year over year. You take ownership of setting goals and empowering your teams to exceed them. You share our love of our customers, embody our SPORTSDOG values and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for our team. 

You will be a key member of the Leadership team, partnering with the team to execute on our strategic vision for the sales organization. You will thrive in our fast-paced environment as a leader, manager, coach, and a master of execution, responsible for driving partnerships with sports communities. 


RESPONSIBILITIES 

Leadership & Coaching 

  • Lead all aspects of the sales effort including prospecting, opportunity qualification, contract negotiation and customer success hand-off.
  • Build and lead a high performing sales team via strategic guidance, industry and sales training focused on quantitative results.
  • Ensure the attainment of assigned sales quotas by leading the sales process and providing direction and recommendations to improve sales. 

Recruiting and Team Building 

  • Build, hire, and develop a team of sales consultants, sales development representatives, and sales ops and support team.
  • Develop a growing, talented sales team through the creation of a sales training program to quickly ramp new folks while maintaining a high level of sales acumen for new products. 

Sales Strategy & Operations 

  • Drive our sales strategy, taking initiative to implement best practices and programs that will enable our team to achieve and surpass quotas. 
  • Maintain a high level of pipeline, funnel and CRM discipline by including accurate forecasting around revenue, meeting activity, opportunity value and close/won dates.
  • Drive annual planning process across the sales organization, including business modeling, territory planning, compensation design, in close partnership with business development, operations, finance and other cross-functional leadership. 
  • Build scalable and repeatable processes for the sales team
  • Maintain impeccable sales data quality in our CRM for tracking leads and opportunities, generating regular reports and forecasts for the CEO and our Board. 

Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with other members of the executive team to ensure alignment across company goals. Excel at cross- functional collaboration and serve as a true business partner. 
  • Identify, organize, focus and drive internal stakeholders (pre-sales and post-sales) and projects that are critical to moving sales opportunities from closed to live. 
  • Closely aligned partnership with marketing to help foster and develop marketing leads into revenue generating customers. 


REQUIREMENTS 

  • Previous growth stage company experience is desirable (Series B and beyond) 
  • Significant experience as a senior-level sales executive at a high growth company and has a broad understanding of how to inspire and lead high-performing sales and account management teams 
  • A strong operational mentality with demonstrated success in leveraging data to design and implement scalable solutionsProven success exceeding expectations in hitting customer acquisition and revenue targets within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment 
  • Deep understanding of and love for SMB SaaS markets and customer values, needs, and goals 
  • Passion for developing and mentoring sales talent

Location

We are located right off of Union Square across from the famous Irving Plaza. Currently, we are working fully remotely.
