Who are we hiring?  

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Analyst, CRM, is responsible for supporting the administration, optimization, and day-to-day operations of Salesforce Marketing Cloud across MSG Entertainment, MSG Sports, and Sphere. Reporting to CRM leadership, this role provides technical and operational support to ensure customer data, marketing automation, campaign execution, and platform performance align with business objectives and established CRM best practices. 

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience to support customer acquisition, engagement, and retention initiatives. This individual will assist with platform administration, audience segmentation, automation workflows, data management, and campaign execution while partnering closely with Marketing, Sales, Data & Analytics, and Technology teams to deliver scalable, data-driven marketing solutions. 

 

What will you do?   

  • Support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Contact Builder, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Email Studio, MobileConnect, user access, Business Units, data extensions, and platform configuration
  • Design and develop SQL queries, automation workflows, and data pipelines to support campaign execution, audience segmentation, and customer lifecycle initiatives.
  • Build and maintain scalable audience segmentation strategies utilizing first-party customer data, behavioral attributes, transactional data, and CRM insights. 
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot automated customer journeys, triggered sends, API integrations, synchronized data sources, and scheduled automations to ensure successful campaign execution. 
  • Support the maintenance of customer data architecture, including Data Extensions, Attribute Groups, Contact Model relationships, Contact Key governance, and data retention policies. 
  • Perform campaign QA, validation testing, deliverability monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy, personalization logic, and successful deployment of email and SMS communications. 
  • Develop and maintain reusable SQL frameworks, data extracts, import/export activities, and automation processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. 
  • Partner with Marketing, CRM, Sales, Ticketing, and Data & Analytics teams to support business requirements through scalable technical solutions and marketing automation workflows. 
  • Monitor platform health, automation performance, and data quality while proactively identifying anomalies, failures, and opportunities for optimization. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, solution architecture diagrams, data flow documentation, naming conventions, and platform governance standards. 
  • Recommend enhancements leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities, including dynamic content, AMPscript personalization, Einstein features, MobileConnect, and automation best practices. 
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site. 

What do you need to succeed?   

  • 2-4 years of related experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Automation Studio, Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Connect, Personalization) and Salesforce Sales Cloud (Lead & Opportunity Management, Pipeline & Forecasting, Reports & Dashboards, Workflow Automation, Sales Process Customization), with at least 3 years of experience administering Salesforce Marketing Cloud in a CRM, digital marketing, or marketing operations environment. (merged Bullets 1 & 2 — both addressed SFMC experience/proficiency) 
  • Strong proficiency writing complex SQL queries for audience segmentation, data transformation, automation, and reporting. 
  • Experience designing and maintaining customer data models, relational data structures, and Marketing Cloud data architecture, with a strong understanding of CRM data governance, data quality management, deduplication strategies, and contact management best practices. (merged Bullets 4 & 8 — both addressed data architecture and data management) 
  • Experience working with REST APIs, SOAP APIs, SFTP file transfers, ETL processes, and enterprise data warehouse environments. 
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, AMPscript, Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS), and JSON/XML for campaign development and personalization. 
  • Experience supporting email deliverability, SMS messaging, subscriber management, consent management, and customer preference centers. 
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement scalable solutions. 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience working cross-functionally across Marketing, Technology, Sales, and Data teams.

Pay Range
$65,000$110,000 USD
