About the Role

Looking for the fast-paced make-a-difference energy of a startup?

At CoreCampus you’ll find the best of a startup (small, scrappy, get-things-done vibe) with the stability of a long-running organization (founded in 1986, financially stable, profitable, no debt). Your work will be highly valued and you’ll have the ability to make a significant contribution to the growth of the organization.

We're looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our team reporting directly to the CEO. This is a new-business (hunter) role and the second quota-carrying seller on a small sales team. You'll sell a complex, enterprise-grade student information system to colleges and universities, owning deals from first conversation through signature.

Location: Remote (US)

As the Senior Account Executive, you will:

  • Win New Logos: Own the full sales cycle for new institutions – prospecting, qualifying, discovery, demos, negotiation and close. This is a new-business role; renewals and ongoing account management sit outside it.
  • Carry an Enterprise Quota: Deliver against an annual quota of approximately $1M in new ARR, with typical deal sizes of $100K–$150K in first-year contract value.
  • Run Complex Sales Cycles: Manage cycles that average 4–6 months and can run from 3 months to 2 years.
  • Sell at the Executive Level: Position CoreCampus with senior higher-education leaders, frame the institution's business problem and build a value case for change.
  • Build Your Own Pipeline: Identify and develop opportunities through outbound prospecting, using tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with marketing and product to sharpen messaging and lead generation, and hand off new customers cleanly for onboarding.

Requirements

  • SaaS Sales Experience: 5+ years of quota-carrying B2B SaaS sales experience, with a focus on new-business / new-logo acquisition.
  • Higher Education Experience: 3+ years selling software or technology solutions to colleges and universities.
  • Enterprise Deal Experience: Track record closing deals in the low six figures with multi-month sales cycles.
  • Quantified Results: Consistent quota attainment that you can back with specific numbers – quota size, attainment by year, average deal size and new-logo wins.
  • Executive Presence: Comfortable leading conversations with senior executives and positioning a complex product at a business level.

Key Qualifications

  • Small-Company Operator: You've sold at scale but don't need big-company infrastructure. You're comfortable building your own pipeline and process with lean resources.
  • Higher-Ed Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the higher-education technology landscape (e.g., SIS, ERP, CRM, enrollment, LMS or assessment platforms) and how institutions evaluate and buy software.
  • Consultative Seller: Strong discovery skills; able to learn a complex product quickly and tie it to institutional outcomes.
  • Self-Starter: Entrepreneurial, accountable and motivated by building something in a small team.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot), AI-enabled sales tools and video conferencing for demos.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Why Join CoreCampus Software?

  • Impact: Be a cornerstone of our sales efforts and directly shape the future of our company.
  • Autonomy: Take ownership of your role with the freedom to innovate and execute your ideas.
  • Supportive Culture: Join a collaborative and passionate team dedicated to making a difference in higher education.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000–$150,000, based on experience.
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $240,000–$300,000, with a 50/50 base-to-variable split.
  • Commission: Uncapped. Paid on first-year annual contract value for each new logo, after the customer's first payment is received.
  • Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, company-provided computer workstation and opportunities for professional development.
