OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join Morning Brew Inc.'s growing B2B sales team, responsible for developing and expanding relationships with some of the world's largest and most sophisticated businesses. Our B2B business continues to grow year-over-year, creating a compelling opportunity to own and develop a portfolio of large and enterprise advertisers within an established, high-performing sales organization.

This is a full-cycle sales role responsible for driving new business, retention, and expansion across Morning Brew Inc.'s multimedia portfolio. Our team develops integrated partnerships spanning newsletters, social, video, custom content, onsite activations, events, podcasts, and data products across 20+ owned and operated media brands.

The ideal candidate is a highly strategic and commercially minded seller who combines strong business development instincts with a consultative approach to building long-term client relationships. This individual should have demonstrated success navigating complex organizations, developing executive-level relationships, and identifying opportunities to grow large accounts across multiple business units, buying groups, and marketing objectives.

Success in this role requires both strategic account planning and hands-on execution. The right candidate will be equally comfortable prospecting into new organizations, developing sophisticated integrated media strategies, navigating complex negotiations, and identifying opportunities to deepen and expand existing partnerships over time. They will understand how to balance immediate revenue opportunities with building durable, multi-year client relationships.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong internal and external relationship management skills. Our Senior Account Executives work closely with teams across Account Management, Pricing, Creative/GTM, Marketing, Events, Editorial, and Operations to develop impactful media partnerships that deliver meaningful results for our advertisers.

We are seeking an ambitious, proactive seller who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, takes ownership of their business, and brings both commercial creativity and strong execution to their work. The right candidate will have the autonomy to shape their account strategy while benefiting from an established media portfolio, a growing advertiser base, and a collaborative, high-performing sales organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and develop new revenue opportunities across a portfolio of large and enterprise advertisers, including breaking into new accounts, business units, and buying groups. Build relationships with key decision-makers across complex organizations and agency ecosystems.

  • Strategic Account Planning & Growth: Develop and execute thoughtful account strategies that drive long-term revenue growth through retention, renewal, upselling, and cross-selling. Identify whitespace opportunities, map key stakeholders, and build multi-threaded relationships across large organizations to expand the breadth and depth of existing partnerships.

  • Consultative Selling & Deal Execution: Lead full-cycle sales processes from initial discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and close. Translate advertiser objectives into compelling, integrated media strategies across Morning Brew Inc.'s portfolio, navigating complex buying cycles, procurement processes, and internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.

  • Client & Agency Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor and senior commercial partner to clients and agencies, developing strong relationships with marketing decision-makers and executive stakeholders. Represent Morning Brew Inc. through regular client meetings, business reviews, lunch & learns, industry events, and client entertainment.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Account Management, Pricing, Creative/GTM, Marketing, Events, Editorial, and Operations to develop and deliver best-in-class partnerships that achieve advertiser objectives while supporting Morning Brew Inc.'s commercial goals.

  • Pipeline Management & Forecasting: Maintain a healthy, well-qualified pipeline and accurate forecasting through strong CRM discipline, proactive opportunity management, and consistent reporting. Leverage performance data, market insights, and customer feedback to inform account strategy and identify growth opportunities.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • 5-8 years of B2B sales experience, with demonstrated success owning and executing full-cycle sales motions across new business development, retention, and expansion

  • Experience in digital advertising, media, adtech, martech, or related industries and experience selling to those organizational leaders

  • Proven success managing and growing large or enterprise accounts, including navigating complex sales cycles, procurement processes, and executive stakeholders

  • Experience negotiating, closing, and expanding significant commercial partnerships, including six-figure deals

  • Strong strategic account planning, organizational mapping, and multithreading capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to identify and develop new revenue opportunities within complex organizations

  • Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand client business objectives and translate them into compelling commercial solutions

  • Excellent internal and external communication, presentation, relationship management, and negotiation skills

  • Metrics-driven and highly proactive, with strong pipeline management, forecasting discipline, and a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets

BONUS POINTS
  • Experience in digital advertising, media, adtech, martech, or related industries

  • Strong understanding of agency and client-side advertising ecosystems; existing agency and/or brand relationships are a major plus

  • Experience developing and managing complex, multi-product media or marketing partnerships

  • Experience managing and growing six- and seven-figure advertiser relationships over multiple years

  • Familiarity with digital advertising performance metrics, audience strategy, media measurement, and advertising pricing models

  • Familiarity with and enthusiasm for Morning Brew Inc. and its portfolio of media brands

TOOLS / OPERATIONAL & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency in Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms, with familiarity using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and related sales prospecting tools

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to leverage sales and customer data to inform account strategy, prioritize opportunities, and manage pipeline

  • Experience navigating highly cross-functional environments and coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to balance strategic account development with hands-on prospecting, deal execution, and day-to-day commercial priorities

  • Comfortable operating autonomously in fast-paced, evolving, high-growth environments

BRIEF BREW HISTORY
Morning Brew Inc. was founded in 2015 by two entrepreneurial college students who noticed their peers were not consuming legacy media resources about business and finance news, but had a high desire to learn about those topics. What started as a small on-campus email has since evolved into a multi-channel media company that operates 20+ unique content franchises. All while maintaining our witty, honest and engaging tone that millions of loyal MBI audience members rely upon daily to better navigate the world.
