Department Overview
The Senior Sales Account Manager is responsible for sales, strategic account planning, and overall relationship management for a number of “target” customers and a specific geographic territory in Philadelphia. Product and service portfolio includes communications technology as well as software and services to enhance the mission critical missions of Motorola's customers.
Job Description

The Senior Account Manager will manage and expand both current and new business opportunities within the Philadelphia Metro Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee sales, strategic planning, and relationship management for major state agencies in Pennsylvania.

  • Promote a diverse portfolio including land mobile radio, software solutions (CAD, 9-1-1, RMS, Analytics), video technology (body-worn, in-car, and access control), services, and cybersecurity.

  • Drive large-scale project opportunities that utilize a broad array of products to enhance public safety missions.

  • Formulate and execute detailed 10-year sales strategies for every major state agency.

  • Cultivate robust connections with key stakeholders, including Radio Managers, Agency Directors, Police and Fire Leadership, and legislative representatives.

  • Lead a multifunctional team of internal and external resources to address customer requirements and establish lobbyist strategies.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to guide customer technology choices and foster loyalty to Motorola Solutions.

  • Coordinate with channel partners to manage goals and market strategies within the assigned territory.

  • Participate in technology boards and sponsorships to build expertise and secure future opportunities.

  • Establish procurement vehicles for all solutions to be used across the geographic territory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales and/or public safety experience.

  • OR 8+ years of sales and/or public safety experience

  • Prior experience working within state or local government agencies preferred

  • Candidates must have sales experience and an understanding of Motorola's ecosystem of solutions in order to understand the questions to ask to meet customer objectives.

  • Experience utilizing strategic account management practices

  • Ability to quickly learn new key characteristics of products/solutions and communicate how these solutions will solve our customer’s needs.

  • Additional background checks could be required at customers' sites.

Location & Travel Requirements:

  • Travel will be up to 50% of the time. 

  • Preferred candidates will live in the Greater Philadelphia Area

Target Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 USD

On Target Earnings: $181,500 - $198,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
