Global Merchant Services (GMS) Marketing is dedicated to bringing buyers and sellers together and transforming how American Express is welcomed. GMS Marketing is responsible for partnering with GMS markets to drive profitable growth, accelerate Merchant acceptance and enhance the value of acceptance to Merchants and Card Members at scale. We focus on enhancing our relationships with millions of Merchants of all shapes and sizes, and our geographic purview includes many commerce hubs across the globe.

 

This position sits on the U.S. Merchant Marketing team and provides an exciting opportunity to strengthen marketing skills, gain external partner management experience, and work with highly collaborative teams across USMM and other business units. The Sr. Analyst will play a key role in developing multi-channel go-to-market strategies, leading campaign execution, and implementing innovative ideas into new and existing projects to drive incremental performance that will help reach USMM goals.

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead end-to-end execution of Growth Marketing email campaigns, including lifecycle marketing, automated trigger campaigns, and Growth test-and-learn treatments.

  • Own paid media campaign execution across Social, Programmatic, Search, and other digital channels, including campaign reporting and optimization.

  • Serve as the primary partner to external creative agencies, leading creative strategy, asset development, production, and campaign execution from concept through launch.

  • Partner across Product Marketing, Analytics, Brand, Legal, and Enterprise Value teams to align messaging, manage approvals, and deliver best-in-class merchant experiences that reflect USMM priorities.

  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate campaign and creative performance, providing data-driven recommendations to inform future email and paid media strategies.

  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging media capabilities, and marketing best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2–3 years of relevant digital marketing or digital agency experience.

  • Strong creative point of view and ability to provide thoughtful feedback aligned to brand guidelines, business objectives, and customer value.

  • Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across email and paid media, with a strong understanding of campaign execution and optimization.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication and partnership skills, influencing stakeholders, and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Data-driven and analytical, translating complex insights into clear recommendations and compelling presentations.

  • Self-starter with a curious, solutions-oriented mindset who takes initiative, asks thoughtful questions, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Marketingforce experience a plus.
