The Department: Strategy & Corporate Development

The Strategy & Corporate Development team at Gemini is a dynamic and integral part of our organization, working closely with company leadership to drive critical decision-making and operational excellence. As generalists, we tackle the firm's most complex and ambiguous problems, balancing strategic thinking with practical implementation. Our scope encompasses business prioritization, growth strategy, market entry/exit, organizational alignment, and investor relations. We conduct thorough internal and external analyses to inform strategic planning and execute cross-functional initiatives from conception to completion.

The team also focuses on improving company-wide efficiency by developing streamlined processes and managing performance through metrics and goal-setting. Additionally, we oversee mergers and acquisitions, early-stage investments via the Gemini Frontier Fund, and other key efforts that drive long-term competitive advantage. By partnering with senior leadership on high-impact projects and data analyses, we ensure Gemini not only charts a visionary course but also has the operational framework to execute it effectively, solidifying our position as an innovative leader in the digital asset space.

The Role: Senior Associate, Strategy

Gemini is seeking a Senior Associate, Strategy to drive execution and operations for Gemini Frontier Fund (GFF) while also supporting broader strategic and business operations initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive, execution-oriented professional who thrives with minimal guidance, enjoys handling multiple projects simultaneously, and is comfortable operating across different functions and stakeholders.

This role is required to be in person twice a week at either our New York City, NY or Miami, FL office.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Operations & Strategic Execution:
    • Support company-wide strategic operational processes, including company-wide OKR facilitation, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Help implement new business operations frameworks and processes.
    • Serve as the taskmaster and operational glue, ensuring seamless execution of Strategy team priorities.
    • Support creation of executive-level presentations, dashboards, and analytical reports to provide visibility and actionable insights into strategic initiatives and business performance.
    • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, market research, and competitor benchmarking to inform strategic decisions across Gemini’s business units.
  • Gemini Frontier Fund:
    • Own and maintain portfolio-tracking systems (Affinity CRM, performance reports, etc.) to ensure portfolio and pipeline data is accurate, timely, and complete.
    • Manage GFF administrative workflows including portfolio reporting, custody operations, and deal execution.
    • Support new investment sourcing, diligence, and evaluation processes, including drafting concise, IC-ready investment memos as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, corporate strategy, management consulting, or startup business operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to tackle ambiguous challenges.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex workflows, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality outputs on tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex information to diverse internal stakeholders.
  • Highly proactive, organized, and detail-oriented; ability to chase down information and execute tasks effectively with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience and strong interest in crypto, Web3, blockchain, or fintech.
  • Familiarity with venture capital portfolio management tools (Affinity, Carta) and investor reporting best practices.
  • Exposure to data analytics tools (SQL, Looker, Dune Analytics, Blockchain explorers).
  • Experience implementing or managing strategic operational frameworks (e.g., OKRs).
