The New York City Comptroller’s Office works to promote the financial health, integrity, and effectiveness of New York City government, in order to strengthen trust, secure a thriving future for all New Yorkers, and build a more just, equitable, and resilient city. Led by an independently elected citywide official, the comptroller’s office provides checks and balances needed to hold City government accountable for budgeting wisely, investing responsibly, operating efficiently, acting fairly, living up to its obligations and promises, and paying attention to the long-term challenges we face together.
The Bureau of Labor Law sets and enforces the prevailing and living wage, and benefit rates for workers, laborers, and mechanics employed on New York City Public Work projects as well as building service employees on City contracts and certain properties that receive tax exemptions, in accordance with its mandate under state law. In addition to performing wage audits, this position will play a lead role in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies in the Bureau's audit processes and will assist in implementing new laws in the Bureau's jurisdiction.

- Train and support Bureau auditors and other staff in adoption of AI tools and produce guidance materials as needed.
- Along with the Assistant Comptroller for Labor Law, participate in meetings with vendors to preview new technologies, and provide assessment and feedback of tools from an audit perspective. Work with the Comptroller's Bureau of Information Systems and Technology to ensure effective Bureau-wide implementation of new systems.
- Serve as the lead for the team on cases involving the minimum average hourly wage and Real Property Tax Law 485-x. Support the Audit Supervisor in overseeing staff on minimum average hourly wage and 485-x projects. Review audits performed by the Bureau's auditors and provide feedback.
