About Lume and Mando

Founded in 2017, Lume is a transformative personal care brand on a mission to normalize body odor beyond pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they don’t have to think twice about odor. We are pioneers of the whole body deodorant category, with a portfolio of odor-blocking products including anti-perspirants, aluminum-free deodorants, body washes, body creams, cleansing bars and laundry sprays. Lume products are OB/GYN developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and often referred to as “life-changing” by our customers. In late 2022, we launched a men’s line called Mando, bringing our expertise to the men’s personal care category. From whole body deodorants to body washes, our product offerings arm men with the confidence to show up as their best selves as they move about their busy day.

Lume and Mando are part of Mammoth Brands, the modern CPG company behind category-leading brands Harry’s, Flamingo, Lume, Mando, and Coterie. Driven by a mission to “Create Things People Like More,”  the company is creating a new model—and home—for brands, founders, and talent looking to solve unmet needs, improve peoples’ lives and ultimately change the status quo. Even as we grow, we take extra care to maintain the small, scrappy, entrepreneurial culture that helped to get us where we are today: a company that people like more, that better serves its customers, employees, and community. Mammoth Brands is committed to making a positive impact and donated over $20 million through our network of nonprofit partners to date.

About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Senior Manager, Brand Strategy to lead strategy and execution for Lume Deodorant and unite cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact initiatives. This leader will drive breakthrough performance and sustainable growth by shaping strategy across pricing, promotion, innovation, margin, and distribution—grounded in data, insights, and a deep understanding of category and consumer dynamics.

In this role, you will act as the brand’s connective force: aligning stakeholders, managing complex projects, and ensuring seamless execution across marketing, creative, R&D, operations, finance, and external partners. You’ll monitor performance to identify opportunities, optimize plans, and guide decision-making that accelerates results. You will also steward the full innovation lifecycle from concept brief through launch, maintain an omni-channel calendar of key brand moments, and translate market and competitive insights into actionable growth strategies. Additionally, you’ll oversee brand budget management—including PO creation, invoicing, and reconciliation—to ensure strong financial stewardship.

What you will accomplish
  • Lead brand strategy with a business-first mindset, leveraging consumer insights and cultural understanding to drive both long-term brand equity and near-term performance.
  • Own P&L performance and deliver growth through strategic choices across pricing, promotion, innovation, margin, and distribution
  • Leverage data tools and consumer insights to develop firm understanding of category and consumer dynamics. Monitor performance of the brand and proactively recommend optimizations informed by an in-depth understanding of the brand positioning, consumer target, category and competitive set.
  • In partnership with the Brand Director, contribute to innovation and new product development from brief to launch through the Stage Gate process.
  • Develop and maintain an omni-channel calendar of key brand moments (product launches, deal periods, in-store marketing activity, big marketing activations, etc.) that’s widely shared.
  • Influence cross-functional partners (creative, insights, sales, operations, e-commerce, retail) to move initiatives forward and ensure tight execution.
  • Analyze market, retailer, and competitive trends to identify whitespace and unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Manage the brand budget end-to-end, including PO creation, invoicing, reconciliation, and financial forecasting.

This should describe you

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Economics, or a related field. MBA is a bonus.
  • 7+ years of experience including GM-style business or brand ownership. Strongly prefer a combination of:
    • Brand management or commercial experience in CPG or retail
    • Plus a diverse experience such as in consulting, banking or startup that was analytical and fast-paced
  • Strong analytical capability—you dig into the data, extract insights, and make smart business decisions.
  • Prior experience in beauty, personal care or lifestyle brands is preferred
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience managing a business in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience developing project briefs and creative briefs.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with experience in P&L and budget management
  • Experience defining an innovation roadmap and navigating the product development process to commercialize and launch new items
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and operate with independence.
  • Organized and able to see through projects from start to finish: knows how to drive high level strategy but can also steer projects to completion
  • Proactive and resourceful—comfortable working through ambiguity and solving problems independently

 Here's who you'll work with

  • Reporting to Brand Director, Lume
  • Working on the Lume + Mando Marketing team
  • Lead cross-functional team to deliver omni-channel product launches by collaborating with Product, Finance, Creative, Marketing, DTC, Retail, and Amazon teams.

Benefits and perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401k match
  • Equity in Mammoth Brands
  • Flexible time off and working hours
  • Wellness and L&D stipends
  • 4 weeks sabbatical after 5 years, 6 weeks after 10 years, and 8 weeks after 15 years
  • 20 fully paid weeks off for parents who give birth, or 16 fully paid weeks off for all other paths to parenthood
  • Fun IRL and virtual events including happy hours, team building events, and parties on our rooftop
  • Free products from all of our brands

That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes a comprehensive set of benefits and our equity program. The base salary hiring range for this position is $145,000-$175,000, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate’s location, skill level and experience.
