Team Overview

The Audience Business Development Partnerships team manages third-party data provider relationships for the TransUnion Data Marketplace and helps partners monetize their audience data by driving demand through strategic partnerships.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Business Development, Marketing Solutions. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of third-party data providers whose data supports TransUnion Marketing Solutions audience activation products, with accountability for partnership health, growth, and long-term value. 
  • Build trusted partner relationships by understanding each provider’s business goals and data differentiation and advise partners on how to use TransUnion solutions to support those goals. 
  • Drive partner development and revenue growth by expanding the availability and inclusion of partner data assets across the audience marketplace and other audience products. 
  • Own day-to-day partner communication, including questions, updates, revenue reporting, audience taxonomy management, data strategy, and data inventory monitoring insights. 
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the assigned portfolio and secure requested or high-value data from existing and prospective partners for marketplace and audience products. 
  • Coordinate with Product, Data Operations, Finance, Sales, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to execute data merchandising, operational data management, partner payments, and broader commercial activities. 
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and monitor ongoing compliance with agreed terms and responsibilities. 
  • Apply knowledge of TransUnion Marketing Solutions products and processes to identify and recommend enhancements that improve partner support and enable revenue growth. 

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in AdTech (Advertising Technology), MarTech (Marketing Technology), a DMP (Data Management Platform), DSP (Demand-Side Platform), data provider, digital agency, or publisher environment, in an account management, partner management, business development, or customer success capacity.
  • Deep knowledge of third-party audience data providers, audience data monetization through a marketplace model, and programmatic audience activation, which will be used to guide partner strategy and growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex partner relationships, negotiate agreements, and influence internal and external stakeholders toward shared commercial outcomes.
  • Strong process orientation, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize a large workload while operating effectively in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain new business and technical concepts.

Required Technical Skills 

  • Working knowledge of DMPs (Data Management Platforms), DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms), audience data marketplaces, and programmatic audience activation technology.
  • Ability to manage audience taxonomies, data inventories, partner revenue reporting, and data performance insights in support of partner and product decisions.

Pay Scale Information:

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $82,700.00 - $120,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
