Most companies are hiring copywriters to write copy. We're hiring someone to reinvent how it gets made. In this role, you'll be the sole dedicated writer (with contract support as needed), which means your fingerprints are on everything. But great copy is just part of the story. What makes this role different is that you'll also architect the AI-powered systems that scale your instincts across the entire marketing org, making everyone faster, sharper, and more creative than previous processes could allow.

You'll report to the Director of Brand Marketing and must be commutable to our NYC headquarters. We default to in-office 3-4 days per week, with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What You'll Do

• Write across the full marketing funnel: paid social, email, landing pages, video scripts, campaigns, and more. Your copy brings real business-owner pain points to life and shows how GlossGenius solves them in ways competitors can't.
• Architect and build AI-powered copywriting and copy-review systems from the ground up. Design Claude skills, stress-test outputs against brand standards, ship new workflows, and iterate constantly as the tools and the team evolve.
• Build and maintain a living style guide and brand voice framework that serves as the foundation for every system you create and every piece of copy the team produces.
• Serve as the organization's editorial authority: set the standard, run AI-powered copy reviews, give feedback with conviction, and coach partners to make better messaging decisions without needing you in every room.
• Develop integrated campaign messaging, creative territories, and taglines that cut through competitive noise and make GlossGenius impossible to ignore.
• Stay close to what great brand and performance marketing looks like in the wild. Bring that perspective, along with the latest AI systems thinking, back to the team and use it to push our work forward.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of copywriting experience with a portfolio spanning brand, performance, and lifecycle
• Deep fluency in outcomes-first writing: you have proven experience translating product features into business impact and customer transformation, and you understand that differentiation increasingly lives in narrative, not just feature lists.
• Experience setting copy standards at an organizational level, whether through style guides, voice frameworks, or AI-powered writing systems
• Real, hands-on AI fluency. You've built AI writing tools and workflows that changed how your team operates.
• Strong performance marketing instincts. You know what makes copy convert in crowded paid environments and you think about creative strategy, not just execution.
• A clear point of view: you have opinions about what great looks like, can defend them, and rally cross-functional partners around your perspective.

The base salary for this role in New York is between $145,000-$170,000 + target equity + benefits, dependent upon skills, experience, and education.
