We're looking for a Senior Creator Manager to join our growing team. You've already proven you can run a roster, and now you're ready to operate with real autonomy, manage a larger book of business, and help shape how the rest of the team works. You have a complete command of the playbook, deep commercial instincts, and the trust of every creator you work with. You don't wait to be told what a creator needs, you already know, and you're already three steps ahead on it.
This is a senior, high-ownership role for someone who's built and grown a roster before, has real independent sourcing wins on the board, and is ready to mentor others while continuing to build their own book of business.
What you'll do- Own a roster of 15+ active creators, with full accountability for their growth, retention, and monetization
- Serve as the primary point of contact and genuine strategic partner for every creator on your roster, delivering honest, objective feedback creators trust and come back to
- Independently source and close new creators, without relying on inbound or existing relationships to carry the work
- Know the revenue trajectory of every creator on your roster, and proactively identify and build the right brand and growth opportunities for them, rather than waiting for Brand Partnerships to bring options to you
- Spot undermonetized creators on your roster and build a concrete plan to change that
- Act as a true partner to our Brand Partnerships team, bringing clear, high-quality opportunities, communicating creator priorities in a way that drives revenue, and exercising strong judgment on what will actually work for a given creator
- Help creators identify when they need to build out their own team, and support them through finding and onboarding the right people
- Mentor and support other Creator Managers, sharing what you've learned and acting as a go-to resource for the team
- Contribute directly to how Smooth operates, whether that's refining our internal playbook or improving how the team works together
- Represent Smooth externally in a way that reflects our standard: kind, thoughtful, sharp, calm, and someone the industry trusts
- A demonstrated track record managing a roster of 15+ creators generating $6M+ in trailing 12-month revenue
- At least 3 creators you've personally sourced and signed, without relying on someone else to do the heavy lifting
- A track record of creators who stay, grow, and generate under your management, not just sign and stall
- Complete fluency in the fundamentals of creator relationship management, sync prep, trust-building, and cross-functional coordination, without needing coaching on the basics
- Real commercial instincts, you know how to spot a growth or brand opportunity before anyone hands it to you
- Experience helping creators build and onboard their own teams, not as a one-off, but as a repeated pattern
- A history of making the people and processes around you better, whether that's mentoring less experienced managers or improving how your team operates
- Must be NYC-based (in office Mon-Thurs)
- Base salary: $90,000, plus commission
- On-target earnings: $150,000 in Year 1 (your earning potential grows directly with the success of your creators)
