You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior brand marketers and agencies, delivering innovative editorial, podcast and talent solutions that connect brands with highly engaged, intellectually curious communities at scale.

Leveraging Vox Media Group's premium properties to build partnerships that drive measurable business outcomes, this role demands a consultative mindset, strong relationship-building skills, the ability to influence at senior levels of marketing organizations, and a relentless drive to grow revenue in a fast-paced, ambitious environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a long-term revenue strategy to expand business with existing and new clients across the Vox Media Group, with an emphasis on New York Magazine portfolio of digital brands.
  • Cultivate Executive-Level Relationships: Build and deepen relationships with senior decision-makers at major companies and their agencies — CMOs, VPs of Marketing, Heads of Demand Generation and Brand — positioning Vox Media as a go-to strategic partner for investment spanning audio, video, digital, social, talent and experiential.
  • Proactive Market Engagement: Identify industry trends, evolving buyer behaviors, and client challenges within the categories including (but not limited to) B2B and Consumer Technology, Financial Services and Automotive, proactively delivering cross-platform editorial, podcast and talent solutions before RFPs are issued.
  • Consultative Sales Leadership: Translate client objectives into high-impact campaigns using our podcasts, editorial brands, host talent, video, social and live event capabilities.
  • Revenue Accountability: Own forecasting, pipeline development, and quarterly and annual sales targets, with full accountability for results and strategic account planning.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, creative, production and operations teams to deliver custom, culturally resonant proposals that reflect how B2B and Consumer Technology, Financial Services and Automotive brands communicate with their audiences.
  • Brand Advocacy: Represent Vox Media Group at key industry events, conferences, and client forums to expand our presence and thought leadership.
Who You Are
  • Proven Media Seller: 10+ years of digital media sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success in the B2B and/or Consumer Technology, Financial Services, and/or Automotive categories. This is a NYC based role.
  • Strategic Dealmaker: Skilled in complex, consultative sales to senior marketing executives and agency leadership, with experience securing large-scale, integrated partnerships.
  • Advocate for Premium Content: Deep understanding of the power of editorially-driven, culturally impactful media brands (like New York Magazine) and influential talent (Vox Media Podcast Network), and of how to leverage that power to benefit advertising partners.
  • Visionary & Entrepreneurial: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to anticipate market shifts and client needs before they surface.
  • Influential Communicator: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to inspire and persuade at the highest levels of a client organization. Ability to think critically, connect advertiser needs to the right solution and communicate the value proposition with clarity and confidence.
  • Data-Informed Strategist: Comfortable leveraging performance data, audience insights, and category trends to craft compelling, measurable solutions that justify and grow media investment.
  • In this role, you are not just selling media — you are shaping how brands connect with audiences through premium content, trusted voices, and unique scale. As a Senior Director, Partnerships, your ability to see around corners, anticipate client needs, and deliver category-defining ideas will directly influence New York Magazine and Vox Media Group’s position as a leading force in the premium content landscape.
