Atlassian is seeking an Senior Manager to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A). In this visible position, you'll oversee the consolidation and reporting of $1B of quarterly spend as well as drive finance optimization. You will partner directly with FP&A and finance leaders and drive value with a particular focus on leading the FP&A Commercial Finance planning and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes

In this role, you'll get to:
  • Lead, influence and shape the R&D investment and finance strategy that directly connects with our ability to deliver differentiated, agile innovation in the AI era and deliver on topline and bottom line goals
  • Shape the capital allocation decisions by providing data-driven insight, building predictive scenario models, and tracking post-investment performance.
  • Own and drive FP&A Commercial Finance planning processes including monthly outlooks, quarterly rolling forecasts and long-range planning.
  • Build finance principals and controls needed to operationalize annual and long term plans and facilitate finance optimization efforts to enhance financial planning effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Serve as the liaison between FP&A Commercial Finance team and other CFO functions to manage the month end, quarter end and year end calendar and processes
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting that is succinct, consistent & insightful, providing leaders with the insights they need to drive financial results.
  • Own, lead and manage finance initiatives / projects end to end, working cross-functionally with various business partners in procurement, accounting and finance teams.
  • Take a leadership role in ad-hoc projects like driving efficiency of spend so that we are in line with best in class software companies.
  • Business partner for newly acquired entities such as Browser Company of New York and DX.

Your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Qualitative:
  • Ability to prioritize objectives in a fast-paced environment to ensure key deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Experience with simultaneously managing multiple business stakeholders' budgets
  • Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and follow-through
  • Team player who can also self-initiate
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a "get-it-done" attitude
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • An effective communicator who is concise, timely, and able to explain finance and accounting to non-finance partners
  • Efficient with managing tasks that require collaboration with stakeholders in different time zones
  • Comfortable with senior leaders and even challenging the status quo when it's in the business's best interests

Quantitative:
  • A minimum of 7 years FPA experience with at least 3 years supporting an R&D organization.
  • Experience with planning and budgeting processes, financial forecasting, P&L management, interpreting and reporting business performance results
  • Prior software sector experience is highly preferred, Cloud/SaaS is a strong plus.
  • Anaplan or other Enterprise planning tools is required
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling
  • Strong technical fundamentals - excel, database / data warehousing concepts and finance systems (CRM & ERP)
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Accounting, Economics), MBA and/or CPA is a plus

In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $168,300 - $219,725
Zone B: $151,470 - $197,753
Zone C: $139,689 - $182,372
