Position Summary
As a Senior I O Engineer on the Infrastructure and Operations Engineering team, you will evaluate system specifications, analyze enterprise infrastructure, and recommend modifications to enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability, and scalability. In this role, you will work closely with teammates, application teams, and business partners to solve complex infrastructure problems, define best practices, and lead key technical initiatives. You will also leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to optimize operational workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous innovation across our enterprise environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware and software compatibility
• Analyze all aspects of existing infrastructure and recommend modifications to enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability, and scalability
• Work with teammates, clients, and cross-functional teams to identify and address complex system problems
• Evaluate new technical developments and recommend infrastructure modifications to align with business strategy
• Provide in-depth consultation to application teams across a variety of enterprise applications
• Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices, and operational metrics
• Participate in business strategy development and manage execution plans to achieve key objectives
• Lead large, complex infrastructure projects to achieve key business goals
• Solve unique and complex problems with broad business impact, translating complex concepts into clear insights for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous operational improvement
• Evaluate emerging technology trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with IBMi in a System Administrator role
• 3+ Experience working with Independent ASPs (iASPs)
• 3+ Experience supporting high-availability enterprise environments and disaster recovery planning
• 3+ Experience with replication technologies (such as Clustering, PowerHA, or MIMIX)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of systems administration or infrastructure engineering experience in lieu of degree
• Experience with CL and/or RPG Programming
• Experience with SQL
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted operational tools to streamline workflows, task automation, and system troubleshooting
• Experience with IBM iSeries performance tuning and capacity planning
• Strong technical consultation skills working across application development and business leadership teams

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
