Job title: Senior Lead Software Engineer

Location: 15305 Dallas Parkway, Tower III, Addison, TX 75001 [allows periodic telecommuting from anywhere within the Dallas metro area]

What will I be doing?

Responsible for supporting and implementing enterprise-wide platform changes. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and cross-functional teams to assess business requirements' impact on Hilton Worldwide's technology, identifying risks and mitigation strategies. Provide guidance and technical leadership on software development teams by referencing and enforcing standard methodology and approach. Lead project delivery and oversee software engineering across multiple platforms. Lead internal and external partners in strategy, project initiation, requirements analysis, design, management, and systems integration. Coordinate with internal IT groups to integrate solution components, manage scope, cost, and timelines, and assess architectural implications. Supervise one (1) direct report. Job requires up to 5% of domestic travel.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive experience in Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.

Must possess progressive experience with Java programming language, J2EE, Spring, microservices architecture, RESTful web services, JSON, Javascript, JQuery, MySQL, Amazon Web Service (AWS) and relational or non-relational databases; deploying scalable microservices applications; utilizing Apache Kafka, Docker, Redis, and Jenkins; using Spring, Eclipse, Tomcat, Datadog, and Cassandra; and performing database management and integration.
