We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Quality, the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Quality helps build and run PayPal’s new enterprise quality function – a capability being stood up to bring consistent standards and ways of working to how PayPal builds, launches, and operates its products. Depending on focus, the role concentrates on developing the enterprise quality standards and frameworks, or on driving their adoption and adherence across the business units and functions.
Working across the business units and enabling functions, the Sr. Manager owns programs end-to-end, partners closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and enabling teams, and turns strategy into execution. It is a hands-on, influence-led role: progress comes through clear standards, strong relationships, and enablement rather than authority.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive end-to-end process maps.
• Identify and resolve complex problems within business processes to drive global improvements.
• Develop detailed business requirements.
• Manage and oversee user acceptance testing.
• Act as a subject matter expert to guide teams in process improvement initiatives.
• Establish and implement best practices for the function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Develop and track key performance metrics.
• Document and standardize processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 8+ years of experience in quality, product operations, program or portfolio management, business operations, risk and controls, or a related field, including leading cross-functional programs.
• Experience developing or operating standards, frameworks, or programs that improve execution and accountability.
• Experience partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver complex, technology-enabled initiatives.
• Able to influence without direct authority and build strong relationships across a matrixed organization.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, turning complex information into clear, decision-ready materials.
• Structured problem-solving and analytical skills, comfortable using data to inform decisions.
• Working knowledge of quality and continuous-improvement practices (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and the metrics and tooling that make quality measurable and visible.
• Experience in payments, fintech, or another regulated industry (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related technical or management field; a quality discipline (e.g., Quality Management, Assurance, or Engineering) a plus.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

New York City, New York: ($129,500.00 - $191,950.00 Annually)
