About the Role

Uber is a technology company that is changing the way the world thinks about transportation. We are building technology people use every day. Whether it's heading home from work, getting a meal delivered, or getting to and from the airport, Uber is increasingly a part of the fabric of everyday life.

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join our US Core Operations team. Depending on the role, you may lead key product lines and use cases, own end-to-end strategy and P&L for core
offerings, or act as a general manager for a portfolio of large and emerging US markets — with accountability for growth, profitability, and competitive position.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy for a portfolio of US markets or products such as UberX – defining the value proposition, shaping the roadmap, and optimizing across price, reliability, experience, and marketplace dynamics. You will use data to diagnose complex marketplace challenges, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and make investment, pricing, and growth tradeoffs. You will design and lead high-impact projects and experiments to drive growth, efficiency, and customer experience, while managing tradeoffs across the broader portfolio.

If you love setting a vision, leading cross-functional partners, pushing projects forward to deliver measurable and strategically meaningful results, and solving problems with data from both 30,000
feet as well as deep in the details, this is the role for you.

What You Will Do

  • Own strategy and outcomes: Own and lead your area of the business end-to-end, with accountability for vision, strategy, and delivering against growth, experience, and profitability goals. Set the near- and long-term strategy, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and drive the actions required to deliver against them.
  • Drive analytical decisions: Develop a deep understanding of market and product line performance across consumer demand, supply, pricing, incentives, reliability, product mix, and competition. Lead rigorous deep dives to diagnose performance, uncover structural opportunities, and translate complex data into clear decisions on where and how Uber should grow and compete.
  • Shape the business: This position requires a holistic view of market performance, identifying and prioritizing opportunities across the broader marketplace and coordinating cross-functional initiatives to achieve market-level business objectives. Navigate difficult growth, profitability, and marketplace tradeoffs, identify the right interventions, and help shape how Uber manages increasingly complex marketplaces.
  • Lead through influence: Turn insights into action by aligning senior stakeholders across Product, Operations, Finance, and other partner teams around a clear strategy. Build compelling, data-driven narratives, influence key business and product priorities, and drive complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional work experience in a related field (consulting, investment banking, technology, operations, strategy, or analytics)
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Strong SQL skills and experience solving ambiguous problems by leveraging large data sets

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or analytics roles
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets and SQL proficiency; Python or R experience is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience developing innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Experience building and executing complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build trust across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to use data to inform decisions
  • Experience working on marketplace, pricing, product P&L, or growth problems is a plus
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and building 0-to-1 initiatives
  • Customer obsessed with a deep understanding of what makes a rider and driver experience outstanding, both within and outside of an app
