Role Overview

The Site Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 residential program, ensuring a safe, structured, and client-centered environment for staff and clients. The Site Coordinator supervises and develops the frontline Operations team, promotes operational excellence and accountability, and supports BRC’s mission of helping individuals experiencing homelessness and other complex needs achieve stability, dignity, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and supervision to the program’s 24-hour Operations team, including Shift Supervisors, Community Technicians, and other assigned frontline staff.
  • Oversee daily residential and operational activities to ensure a safe, structured, and client-centered environment and the effective delivery of program services.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, teamwork, and high-quality client care.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and develop frontline staff, providing ongoing guidance, performance feedback, and support to promote effective job performance and professional growth.
  • Conduct and document regular individual supervision with assigned staff and participate fully in the agency's annual performance management process, including performance evaluations and goal setting.
  • Conduct regular observations and quality assurance activities to monitor staff performance, operational practices, documentation, and compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and manage scheduling, onboarding, performance management, and staff development, while supporting talent acquisition and hiring initiatives.
  • Oversee operational procedures related to client supervision, dormitory monitoring, activities of daily living (ADL) support, meal service, safety, and facility operations.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of incident reports, logs, operational records, and other required documentation.
  • Monitor program supplies and inventory and coordinate identified purchasing needs with the staff member or department authorized to place orders, as applicable to the program.
  • Ensure compliance with BRC policies and procedures, DHS requirements, fire safety standards, and other applicable regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Participate in or support client groups, dorm meetings, case conferences, and engagement activities as needed; direct facilitation depends on program staffing and assignments.
  • Participate as a member of the program's management and multidisciplinary leadership teams and collaborate with clinical, medical, facilities, and administrative staff to support coordinated program operations.
  • Respond to emergencies, provide operational leadership during critical incidents, and provide First Aid/CPR assistance when required.
  • Provide operational support across shifts and departments and ensure that the Site Coordinator and Clinical Coordinator functions support one another so client services continue during leadership absences.
  • Maintain direct client engagement and participate in case conferences, dorm meetings, groups, or other client-service activities as needed, while recognizing that formal group facilitation may be assigned to designated activity or clinical staff.
  • Ensure Shift Supervisors train, cross-train, rotate, observe, and develop Community Technicians across all applicable posts and operational functions.
  • Provide after-hours operational support consistent with the program’s established on-call structure. Routine staff scheduling requests should follow the supervisory chain, while urgent coverage, critical incidents, and significant operational concerns should be escalated according to program procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in social services, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated success in staff development, team building, and operational leadership.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in low-barrier residential settings serving individuals experiencing long-term street homelessness, including those who may not be ready or willing to enter traditional shelter programs.
  • Programs emphasize dignity, autonomy, and client choice while maintaining a safe, supportive environment. With no curfews or sobriety requirements, the model reduces barriers to engagement and helps clients stabilize, avoid returning to the street, and work toward permanent housing.
  • Regular interaction with individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, trauma, and chronic health conditions.
  • Employees may be required to respond to crises, behavioral incidents, medical emergencies, and other unpredictable situations using de-escalation techniques and established safety protocols.

  • Employees may be exposed to unsanitary conditions, environmental hazards, and other conditions commonly associated with residential and homeless services settings.
  • Program operates 24/7/365, including weekends and holidays.
