Own Upway’s US organic social channels, CRM content, SEO/GEO initiatives, and website content. Create, publish, and optimize platform-specific content across social, video, email, SMS, blogs, and web pages. Monitor trends, collaborate with creators and cross-functional teams, support marketing campaigns, and build scalable content processes that improve engagement, brand growth, and business performance.
Upway is the leading marketplace for certified refurbished e-Bikes, operating across Europe and the US. We buy, refurbish, and resell e-Bikes through a rigorous technical process, making sustainable mobility more accessible while delivering a seamless and reliable customer experience.
The US is one of Upway's biggest and fastest-growing markets, and we're looking for a Social & Content Associate to help build our brand and content presence in the US.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves social media, understands what makes great content, and is excited to turn ideas into content people actually want to watch, share, and engage with. You'll play a key role in shaping how Upway shows up across social, CRM, SEO/GEO, our website, and broader marketing campaigns.
You will report to the US Marketing lead, and work closely with the US marketing team, global Marketing team, freelancers, creators and cross-functional teams to create content that builds the brand while supporting our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Upway’s US organic channels: Own the strategy, day-to-day management, and growth of Upway’s organic presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, CRM, SEO/GEO, and other relevant channels, including content planning, creation, publishing, community engagement, and performance optimization.
- Create content people want to watch: Concept, write, shoot, edit, and publish platform-native content across short-form video, YouTube, social posts, and other formats, working with creators, freelancers, and internal teams to bring ideas to life.
- Stay close to US culture: Be the eyes and ears of what is happening across US social media, e-bike communities, creators, competitors, and broader consumer culture. Identify trends and conversations that Upway can authentically participate in.
- Support 360° marketing execution: Translate broader marketing priorities into compelling content and creative assets that support demand, trade-ins, UpCenters, events, partnerships, and other growth initiatives.
- Own the CRM content calendar: Plan and execute the US CRM calendar across both demand, supply, creating compelling, on-brand email and SMS content and continuously improving templates and performance.
- Support SEO/GEO content roadmap: Support the SEO/GEO content roadmap by researching topics, working with freelancers, and creating blog and YouTube content that increases Upway’s organic visibility and reach.
- Own website content: Write and maintain website content across product pages, landing pages, and other customer touchpoints, ensuring everything is clear, compelling, accurate, and on-brand.
- Build the content engine: Develop scalable processes, formats, tools, and workflows that make it easier to produce high-quality content consistently and increase output across channels.
- Use data to improve content: Track channel and content performance, identify what is working, and turn insights into better formats, topics, creative, and publishing strategies.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Supply, Operations, Global teams, Freelancers, and Creators to align content with business priorities and ensure a consistent Upway experience across organic channels.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in social media, content creation, editorial, creative marketing, or a related field, ideally within a consumer brand, D2C, e-commerce, marketplace, or high-growth startup environment.
- Social-First Creator: You understand what makes content work across Instagram, Youtube, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms. You know how to adapt ideas to different formats and audiences rather than simply repurposing the same content across channels.
- Creative Writer, Storyteller & Designer: Exceptional writing, scripting, editing, and visual design skills. You can turn a simple brief or business objective into a creative concept, strong hook, compelling story, and polished visual execution. You have a strong eye for composition, typography, imagery, and brand consistency.
- Hands-On Production: You are comfortable taking content from idea to published asset, including concepting, writing, shooting, editing, and publishing. You are highly proficient in tools such as Canva and Figma, with basic video editing skills in tools such as CapCut, Adobe, or similar.
- Culturally Relevant: You have a strong understanding of US consumer culture, social media trends, creators, and online communities. You naturally stay curious about what people are talking about and know how to identify opportunities that are relevant to Upway.
- Attention to Detail: You have exceptionally high attention to detail across content creation, copy, CRM, website updates, and publishing. You catch errors before they go live and care about accuracy, formatting, links, CTAs, brand guidelines, and the small details that make content feel polished and professional.
- Consumer Brand Experience: Previous experience working for a consumer-facing brand is required. Experience in consumer lifestyle, D2C, e-commerce, marketplaces, mobility, micro-mobility, or other high-growth consumer businesses is a plus.
- Passion for Bikes: Personal interest in bikes, e-Bikes, cycling, mobility, or the broader outdoor/lifestyle space is a plus!
