JOB OVERVIEW:

THE•TEAM is looking for an ambitious and creatively driven Social Media Manager to lead strategy, storytelling and day-to-day execution across THE•TEAM’s primary corporate social channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Facebook (@the.team.co).

Sitting within THE•TEAM’s centralized social hub and reporting into the Social Director, this role will oversee content strategy, publishing, community engagement and platform execution across the company’s flagship brand account - helping shape how THE•TEAM shows up across sports, entertainment, media and culture globally. This role will also serve as the primary social lead for entertainment, corporate brand, rights and other enterprise-wide content priorities.

This role will partner closely with regional social leads, Social Media Managers and stakeholders across North America, EMEA and APAC to develop thoughtful, platform-native storytelling that reflects THE•TEAM’s evolving brand identity while maintaining consistency, quality and cultural relevance across global markets.

The ideal candidate is both strategically minded and highly hands-on creatively - comfortable not only developing content ideas and editorial direction, but also capturing, editing and producing social-first content in real time across events, shoots, talent moments and company initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Lead day-to-day management and execution across THE•TEAM’s primary corporate social channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Facebook.

  • Develop and execute social-first content strategies that reflect THE•TEAM’s global brand positioning, voice and broader marketing priorities.

  • Clearly communicate THE•TEAM’s social media strategy, platform approach and editorial recommendations to company leadership and business-unit stakeholders, building understanding, alignment and buy-in.

  • Build proactive content calendars aligned with company initiatives, talent moments, campaigns, regional priorities and cultural conversations across North America, EMEA and APAC.

  • Translate brand storytelling, company initiatives and cultural moments into compelling platform-native content across formats, including short-form video, carousels, Stories and real-time content.

  • Capture, edit and produce social-first content across events, productions, launches, shoots and company initiatives.

  • Manage content development, copywriting, publishing, community engagement and platform maintenance across THE•TEAM’s flagship brand channels.

  • Manage content intake, prioritization, feedback and approvals across business units, balancing stakeholder needs with the flagship channel’s editorial strategy and audience objectives.

  • Partner closely with regional social leads, Social Media Managers and internal stakeholders across North America, EMEA and APAC to support globally aligned storytelling while maintaining regional relevance.

  • Collaborate with creative, communications and marketing teams to develop high-quality social content and original storytelling formats.

  • Support the development of recurring content series and editorial frameworks that create consistency and audience familiarity across platforms.

  • Identify trends, conversations and emerging platform behaviors across global markets to inform content opportunities and audience engagement strategies.

  • Own the editorial strategy for @the.team.co on Instagram, balancing talent, business, culture and corporate storytelling to create a cohesive flagship brand presence that drives audience growth, reach and engagement.

  • Lead THE•TEAM’s LinkedIn strategy, developing executive, corporate and thought-leadership content that communicates company news, business expertise and industry perspective to professional audiences.

  • Partner with marketing and media stakeholders to identify content for paid amplification, support campaign setup and optimization, and use paid performance insights to strengthen organic and campaign strategy.

  • Help launch and establish THE•TEAM’s TikTok presence by developing platform-native concepts, recurring formats and an audience-growth strategy tailored to the channel.

  • Balance planned storytelling with reactive opportunities across sports, entertainment, media and culture.

  • Maintain a strong editorial point of view and ensure content reflects platform best practices and audience expectations.

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow channel audiences, increase reach and strengthen engagement across THE•TEAM’s primary brand platforms.

  • Own performance tracking and recurring reporting across THE•TEAM’s primary brand channels, translating insights into clear recommendations that improve content, audience growth and engagement.

  • Assist in maintaining social standards, workflows and platform best practices across THE•TEAM’s broader global social ecosystem.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • ~4 years of agency-side, brand or publisher social media experience managing major social accounts.

  • Strong understanding of platform-native storytelling and evolving social media best practices across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Facebook.

  • Demonstrated understanding of TikTok-native content, including platform trends, storytelling conventions, audience behavior and short-form video formats.

  • Excellent editorial instincts with strong copywriting, communication and storytelling abilities.

  • Ability to clearly communicate social media strategy, platform recommendations and editorial decisions to senior leaders and business-unit stakeholders, building alignment and buy-in.

  • Strong understanding of internet culture, audience behavior and emerging content trends across global markets.

  • Experience developing and executing content strategies across multiple social platforms.

  • Strong content capture, editing and production capabilities across short-form social content.

  • Comfortable shooting content in fast-paced, live environments across events, talent moments, shoots and activations.

  • Proficiency in social editing tools, including CapCut, Edits, Premiere Pro or similar platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across social, creative, marketing and communications teams.

  • Familiarity with social analytics and publishing platforms such as Sprinklr, Brandwatch or similar tools preferred.

  • High standard of excellence and flexibility to work nontraditional hours around live moments, campaigns and events when needed.

  • Passion for storytelling, social media, sports, entertainment, media and culture.
