Our client is a fast-growing technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design, build and maintain back-end web systems for an online platform, working across the full stack as needed. You will partner with colleagues from other functions, take ideas from concept to release, and iterate quickly using AI-assisted development.
What you'll do
- Design, develop and maintain reliable back-end web systems.
- Work with cross-functional colleagues to integrate technical solutions smoothly.
- Write, debug and improve application code across front end and back end.
- Implement scalable solutions that strengthen the platform as usage grows.
- Contribute to every phase of the software development lifecycle, from idea to testing and iteration.
- Support an upcoming database migration effort.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Full-stack product engineering experience, covering both front end and back end, with clear evidence of strong ability from school, work or side projects.
- Day-to-day use of AI tools, with the majority of your code written using them.
- Proficiency with Postgres.
- A track record in a fast-moving, rapidly scaling company, or a portfolio of products you have built and launched yourself; time spent only at very large established employers is not enough.
- High curiosity, shown by deep dives into personal projects, and a genuine love of building.
- A university degree in computer science or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week and be located in the New York City metropolitan area.
Bonus points
- Prior experience as a founder or early engineer at a startup, with the ability to candidly explain what went wrong if it did not succeed.

- Base salary: USD 130,000 to 200,000 per year
