About this opportunity:
Ericsson's New Product Introduction (NPI) team is looking for a Solution Introduction Engineer - Feature Tester to support early carrier development in Bellevue, WA. In this role, you will work in Ericsson's radio lab and cloud-enabled compute environments to validate hardware, software, and radio features before they reach customer networks. You will investigate technical issues using data-driven methods, identify root causes, and collaborate with a cross-functional team spanning product development, customer units, and service delivery. We value curiosity, a willingness to learn, and practical problem-solving - no one is expected to know everything on day one.
What you will do:

• Support early carrier development and NPI activities for Ericsson Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions
• Design, document, and execute test cases based on product requirements and specifications
• Configure lab and field environments for feature testing and integration
• Troubleshoot failures using logs, measurements, counters, and traces; document defects and drive resolution
• Support integration and certification of 4G LTE and 5G technologies in customer labs and production networks
• Collaborate with project managers, customer representatives, and product development teams on test planning and acceptance activities
• Identify opportunities to improve testing through scripting, automation, data analysis, and responsible use of AI tools
• Develop and maintain scripts and lightweight tools to automate testing, data collection, and lab operations
• Contribute to modern software build and delivery practices, including version control and automated test pipelines
• Share lessons learned and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment

The skills you bring:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience
• Typically, 2-8 years of hands-on experience in RF optimization or RAN performance.
• Some knowledge of Radio Access Networks, wireless cellular networks, and radio communication principles
• Basic understanding of RF concepts: coverage, signal strength, interference, propagation, and antennas
• Understanding of 4G LTE and/or 5G NR concepts; experience with both is an advantage
• Programming experience in Python or another language, with ability to develop scripts, automate tasks, and work with APIs
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and interest in applying them to test generation, log analysis, anomaly detection, and problem-solving
• Willingness to learn cloud and compute technologies and apply them to engineering and testing
• Interest in modern software delivery methods such as Git-based workflows, CI/CD, containers, or infrastructure-as-code
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly in written reports and presentations

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
• Washington: $84,500-111,300 USD
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
