The Entertainment Content & Subscriptions division of T-Mobile’s Strategy, Development & Partnerships team is responsible for forging and managing high-impact partnerships across streaming, entertainment, and digital services. The team develops innovative partnerships that differentiate T-Mobile’s value proposition, enhance customer experiences, and drive growth across Consumer, Metro, Home Internet, T-Mobile for Business, and emerging business lines.
Through partnerships with leading entertainment, streaming, and subscription providers, the team creates compelling customer benefits while advancing T-Mobile’s broader growth strategy. This role will help shape the future of T-Mobile’s content and subscription portfolio and identify new opportunities to deliver value to millions of customers.
The Sr. Business Development Manager – Entertainment Content & Subscriptions will play a critical role in developing, managing, and expanding T-Mobile’s portfolio of streaming, entertainment, and digital subscription partnerships. This individual will lead strategic partner relationships, evaluate new business opportunities, develop partnership strategies, negotiate commercial agreements, and drive cross-functional execution of key initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong business development instincts with deep knowledge of the entertainment and streaming ecosystem, excellent financial and analytical skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally. This position requires a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can navigate complex negotiations, and is passionate about evolving consumer media and subscription trends. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who can influence across all levels of the organization, build alignment among diverse stakeholders, and ensure decisions, priorities, and partnership objectives are communicated clearly and effectively throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership Management

  • Lead the business development and management of strategic entertainment, streaming, and subscription partners.
  • Develop long-term partnership strategies that align partner objectives with T-Mobile’s business goals.
  • Serve as the day-to-day business development contact for assigned partners, driving executive engagement and fostering trusted partner relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships through new products, customer experiences, marketing initiatives, and commercial arrangements.
  • Lead partnership renewals, commercial negotiations, and business planning efforts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and partner organizations.

Business Development & New Partnerships

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new partnership opportunities across streaming, entertainment, digital media, subscriptions, news, gaming, and emerging consumer services.
  • Conduct market assessments and competitive analyses to identify trends and whitespace opportunities.
  • Support exploratory discussions and commercial negotiations with prospective partners.

Negotiation & Deal Structuring

  • Lead commercial negotiations for partnership renewals, amendments, and new agreements.
  • Develop partnership frameworks, economic models, and deal structures that maximize customer value and business impact.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Executive Leadership teams to secure alignment and approvals.
  • Support contract development and execution through launch readiness.

Business Performance & Strategy

  • Monitor performance of existing partnerships using key financial and operational metrics including acquisition, engagement, redemption, retention, churn, and customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage industry research, partner performance data, earnings reports, and market intelligence to develop actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analyses to support decision-making and negotiation strategies.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, recommendations, and business updates.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Manage cross-functional initiatives involving multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Partner across Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations, Customer Experience, and Technology organizations to execute partnership objectives.
  • Influence strategic decisions and advocate for partnership initiatives across the organization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on streaming, entertainment, subscription, and digital media industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate strategy, corporate development, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience within streaming, entertainment, media, digital subscriptions, technology platforms, telecommunications, or closely related industries.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating and managing complex strategic partnerships.
  • Experience developing financial models, investment analyses, and executive business cases.
  • Experience working directly with senior leadership and external executive stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Media, Communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of the streaming, entertainment, digital media, and subscription ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of industry business models, including SVOD, AVOD, FAST, hybrid subscription offerings, and emerging distribution models.
  • Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex business issues into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including executive communications.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple partnerships and initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated track record of delivering results with limited oversight.
  • Passion for emerging trends in entertainment, media, technology, and consumer experiences.

Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity: $144,600 - $260,880

National Base Pay Range: $120,500 - $217,400

The Total Target Cash Earnings Opportunity represents the expected total cash compensation for this role at target performance, combining base salary and annual incentive opportunity. Actual earnings may be higher or lower depending on individual performance and overall company results.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on individual and/or company performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
