The Senior Manager, Business Analyst will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for driving the definition, governance, and delivery of enterprise Reference Data Management capabilities. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, data governance, technology, and control functions to translate complex business needs into scalable, well-governed data solutions that support regulatory, operational, and analytical use cases.
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end business analysis for Reference Data domains, including requirements definition, data modeling alignment, and process design
- Translate business, regulatory, and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements and data specifications
- Partner with Data Governance, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise data policies and controls
- Drive definition and adoption of reference data standards, taxonomies, hierarchies, and data quality rules
- Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements
- Support data lineage, data quality, and data control initiatives related to reference data assets
- Lead stakeholder discussions, facilitate decision-making, and manage competing priorities across functions
- Contribute to roadmap planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement of Reference Data capabilities
Must Have Qualifications:
- 8–12+ years of experience in business analysis, data management, or related roles within financial services or a complex enterprise environment
- Deep understanding of Reference Data Management concepts, including hierarchies, golden sources, data standardization, and lifecycle management
- Strong experience with data governance frameworks, data quality, and data lineage principles
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed functional and data specifications
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including business units, technology, risk, and compliance
- Familiarity with data platforms, metadata tools (e.g., Collibra), and workflow tools (e.g., ServiceNow) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
- Experience supporting regulatory or audit-driven data initiatives is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field required
- Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Data/Analytics, or related discipline) preferred
