Position Title:  Staff Accountant

Reports to:  Controller

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant, reporting to the Controller, will apply professional financial concepts and techniques dedicated to preparing, analyzing, consolidating, and reviewing accounting processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end journal entries.
  • Assist with accounting data entry & spreadsheet preparation.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare daily cash balance reports for management review.
  • Prepare monthly payroll journal entries from third party provider.
  • Prepare weekly invoicing and campaign installment scheduling.
  • Responsible for collections effort of aged accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and track fixed asset documentation and depreciation.
  • File month-end closing documentation.
  • Assist with company’s annual audit.
  • Special projects as directed by Controller.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting , CPA a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of systems, Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Public/Private Accounting preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communications.
  • Ability to excel in a team environment and work independently.

This position reports to our New York City headquarters in midtown Manhattan Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 USD Annually, Bonus Eligible
