Job Description:

We are looking for a Strategic Distributor Business Manager to own and drive business performance with one of our most critical distribution partners. In this role, you will translate strategy into execution by accelerating partner activation, increasing transactional velocity, and delivering measurable revenue outcomes across the portfolio. You will operate with a strong sense of ownership and urgency—identifying performance gaps, mobilizing cross-functional resources, and driving actions that directly impact growth.

As a senior individual contributor, you will lead through influence rather than authority, acting as the central orchestrator of the business. You will align stakeholders across sales, marketing, and business units, drive key decisions, and ensure disciplined execution in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a clear focus on delivering results, improving partner performance, and scaling repeatable success.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end business performance with a strategic distribution partner, including revenue, growth, and partner activation across the full portfolio

  • Serve as HPE’s primary interface with the distributor, building strong working relationships while maintaining clear accountability for outcomes

  • Deliver against defined revenue and growth targets, with full ownership of performance

  • Translate HPE’s strategic priorities into concrete, executable plans with clear actions, owners, and timelines

  • Drive pipeline creation, deal progression, and transactional velocity on a continuous basis

  • Maintain a tight operating rhythm across pipeline, bookings, and sell-out performance

  • Identify performance gaps vs. targets and take immediate, data-driven action to close them

  • Drive partner acquisition, activation, and productivity to expand and strengthen the active partner ecosystem

  • Influence distributor and partner behavior to improve execution, focus, and business outcomes

  • Lead regular business reviews focused on performance, accountability, and actionable next steps

  • Ensure disciplined follow-through across all stakeholders and initiatives

  • Expand share of wallet across the portfolio through targeted plays and focused execution

  • Develop and scale repeatable motions that drive sustained partner performance and growth

  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, business units) to remove blockers and accelerate execution

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, channel, or partner business management

  • Proven track record of owning and delivering revenue outcomes in complex environments

  • Experience managing large, strategic partners or accounts with significant scale and complexity

  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels

  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including executive-level interactions

  • Based within approximately one hour of Buffalo, NY (or Toronto, ON) is preferred to support regular onsite engagement with the Ingram Micro office; ability to travel up to 30–50% across the U.S. and Canada, including frequent visits to distributor locations and partner events, is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of distribution and channel business models

  • Proven ability to drive execution, demonstrated by consistent delivery against targets

  • Highly data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into actions

  • Strong business judgment with a high degree of ownership and accountability

  • Ability to influence without authority and drive behavioral change across partner organizations

  • Strong operational rigor and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Impact/Scope:

  • Own one of HPE’s most strategic and highest-impact distribution relationships in North America

  • Drive performance across all market segments and business units

  • Directly impact revenue growth, partner ecosystem expansion, and market execution

  • Typically carry a high-visibility, high-impact quota

Complexity:

  • Operate in a highly dynamic, matrixed environment across multiple business units and stakeholders

  • Manage a complex ecosystem of distributor teams and downstream partners

  • Balance short-term execution with long-term strategic growth
