Welcome to Fi.

We’re a passionate team from Square, Google, Oura, Peloton, Uber, and more working to transform the human-pet relationship. Our mission? Develop cutting-edge technology to revolutionize what it means to be a pet parent. The pet industry remains firmly stuck in the past and we are here to change that. Fi is leveraging our team's talent and expertise to improve the lives of millions of pets in the U.S. Real-time location tracking, activity, sleep and behavior monitoring – and that's just the beginning.

The most exciting aspect of our work? Bridging the communication gap between pets and humans. Imagine a world where everyone knows how their pet feels in real time and how to keep their best friend in good shape. That's the future we're building at Fi.

If you're someone who thrives in innovative, collaborative work environments and feels strongly about helping pets live longer, better lives, Fi could be the perfect fit. Join us in our pursuit of the “impossible,” or as we call it here “let me find a way,” to redefine the future of pet ownership together.

Fi is looking for a Strategic Finance Associate, Data & Reporting!

Fi is looking for a Strategic Finance Associate, Data to own the numbers behind some of our biggest decisions: how we price our product, what we tell investors, where we place out next bet. This is a hands-on role: you'll pull, model, and own finance's core metrics end-to-end, rather just receiving numbers secondhand.

This role combines financial rigor with hands-on data ownership: the technical depth to build the pipeline yourself, and the judgment to know what the numbers actually mean. You'll work directly with Fi's leadership team, with real ownership over how finance measures the business from day one.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the metrics behind Fi's biggest calls, including pricing, unit economics, and ARR, and build the dashboards that go straight to leadership, the board, and investors
  • Write the SQL, build the pipelines, and partner with the Data team to keep everything accurate and well documented
  • Define what "good data" looks like for Finance's own metrics: a seat at the table, not a downstream consumer role
  • Use Claude and other Generative AI tools to automate repetitive work, so more of your time goes to analysis and storytelling, not plumbing
  • Be the go-to person when a number looks off: dig into the data, find the root cause, and fix it at the source
  • Partner with Accounting and Fi's leadership team to keep numbers consistent across board decks, investor updates, and internal reporting
  • Partner with Accounting to translate GAAP rules into data logic, and keep that logic accurate as new products, promotions, and selling structures change how revenue and costs get recognized

What You'll Bring:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a role blending financial analysis and data, such as strategic finance, FP&A, or data analytics, ideally with exposure to investment banking, consulting, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and comfort working directly in a modern data warehouse (Databricks or similar)
  • Solid financial modeling skills, including forecasting and unit economics, with advanced Excel fluency required
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in tools like Tableau, Sigma, or Power BI
  • Working knowledge of ROI, LTV/CAC, and GAAP
  • Comfort owning an analysis end to end: pulling the raw data, building the financial model, and presenting the takeaway
  • A structured, detail-oriented thinker who can be a reliable source of truth for Finance's data and metrics
  • A strong communicator who can translate complex or messy data into a clear narrative for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Why You'll Love Us:

  • Time to Recharge: Enjoy flexible PTO to take the breaks you need.
  • Top-Notch Health Coverage: We’ve got your back (and teeth and eyes) with full medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Wellness Perks: Free access to One Medical, Kindbody, and Talkspace to keep you feeling your best.
  • Dog-Friendly Office: Bring your pup to work — they’re part of the team, too.
  • Give Back to the Pups: Make tails wag with a $500 annual donation to a dog charity of your choice through our BarkBack Program.
  • Free Fi Membership: Your furry best friend(s) get all the benefits of a Fi collar, on us!
  • Love for Friends + Family: Share the Fi magic with loved ones through our gifting program.
