Job Description SummaryThe Power Segment Strategy team is seeking a highly motivated Strategy & Transformation Associate to support the development of long‑term strategies, growth priorities, and transformation initiatives for GE Vernova’s global power business.
This role is embedded within the Power Strategy team and focuses on long‑range strategic planning, market and portfolio strategy, and segment‑level growth initiatives that shape the future direction of our businesses. The position provides exposure to senior leadership with the ideal candidate bringing strong analytical capabilities, structured thinking, and a demonstrated interest in how large, global energy businesses set and execute strategy. For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,000.00 and $173,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.

- Support the Power segment’s long‑term strategy (LTS) process, including development of strategic narratives, market perspectives, and investment themes.
- Support segment BD/M&A and ventures/startup engagement initiatives, lending analytical and execution capabilities to cross-functional teams
- Conduct market, competitive, and portfolio analysis across global power markets, technologies, and business models.
- Help develop strategy decks, executive memos, and leadership materials for senior management and Board‑level discussions.
- Build and support financial analyses and business cases (where applicable) to evaluate strategic options, growth opportunities, and partnerships.
- Own discrete sub‑workstreams or small strategy projects, typically as part of larger cross‑segment or enterprise initiatives.
- Support technology and innovation landscaping across climate tech, AI, digital, and adjacent energy ecosystems.
- Contribute to startup, venture, and partnership‑related strategy work, including ecosystem mapping.
- Translate emerging technology and startup trends into actionable strategic insights
- Support enterprise and segment‑level transformation initiatives, including helping to create and refine new processes, ways of working, etc. to identify and deliver “the next generation of growth”
- Collaborate closely with Corporate, Finance, Commercial, Technology, and other teams to inform strategy development and execution.
- Support the planning and execution of strategy summits, leadership offsites, and strategy reviews, including agenda development, pre‑reads, synthesis of inputs, version control/tracking and follow‑ups.
- Track key strategic action items and milestones to ensure momentum across planning cycles.
- 2–6 years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate/business development, management consulting, venture capital/startup leadership, investment banking or related roles.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear strategic insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in PowerPoint and executive‑level materials.
- High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and comfort managing multiple workstreams.
- Fluency in English.
- Deep personal curiosity and experimentation with AI tools and up-to-date views on latest AI technology developments, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Must be willing to work at one of the following GE Vernova locations. Atlanta GA, Baden CH, Cambridge, MA, Chicago, IL, Greenville, SC, London, GB, Madrid, ES, Schenectady, NY, Washington, DC, Wilmington, NC.

- Experience in the energy, industrials, climate tech, AI and software sectors
- Robust Financial modeling capabilities
- Deep experience with climate tech ecosystem and knowledge of latest technology and innovation trends in energy
- Advanced degree (e.g. M.B.A., or Engineering)
- Familiarity with strategy planning processes in large, global organizations.
