Who are we?

At Tradeweb, we’re constantly moving forward. We were the first to electronify the bond market, and we’ve been innovating ever since. Come join our team and find out what it means to lead the way into the future of electronic trading. Collaborate with our creative thinkers who have the vision and the drive, and learn how you too can make an impact of your own.

What’s in it for you?

As an intern, you’ll work with our technologists and business experts to gain practical, hands-on experience that you can actually use. Our program combines traditional classroom-settings with project-based work where you can get involved with the products and services the firm is working on. Along the way, you’ll have guidance from people at all levels of the organization so you can start to build a long-lasting professional network and build relationships with the intern class through interactive outings and projects.

At the conclusion of your internship, you may be considered for full-time employment, to commence upon successful completion of your degree program.

Who will you work for?

The Data Management team is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and lifecycle management of securities reference data across global financial markets. The team supports security onboarding, data validation, and ongoing maintenance of the firm’s security master and related data platforms to help ensure high-quality data is delivered across Tradeweb.

As a Data Management Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to how financial data is managed and used within a global financial technology organization. You will work alongside team members supporting securities reference data, data quality, and process improvement initiatives while partnering with colleagues across Technology, Product, Operations, and other areas of the business.

This internship is well suited for students interested in the intersection of financial markets, data, and technology and looking to build practical experience working with financial instruments, large datasets, and data management tools.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across multiple data sources to help maintain accurate securities reference data.

  • Assist with security onboarding and ongoing reference data maintenance across financial instruments.

  • Analyze data and help investigate discrepancies, trends, and data quality issues in partnership with team members.

  • Support testing and validation for system enhancements, data integrations, and process changes.

  • Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, and AI.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Data Management, Technology, Product, and Operations while gaining exposure to financial markets, data platforms, and Tradeweb’s business.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Interest in financial markets, financial data, and technology.

  • Familiarity with Fixed Income markets is a plus.

  • Ability to work with large datasets and identify patterns, discrepancies, or trends.

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with pivot tables, formulas, or data analysis is preferred.

  • Exposure to SQL and/or Python through coursework, projects, or prior internship experience is preferred.

  • Familiarity with data management, relational databases, or data visualization concepts is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and collaborate across teams.
