About Lantern

The trusted data platform for private markets.

Lantern is built by operators who have lived the exact problem we've set out to fix. Our leadership team has founded, scaled, and exited private markets technology and large scale tech companies before, through acquisitions, IPOs, and global expansions. We know what GPs, LPs, and administrators actually need because we've sat on their side of the table.

Private markets data today is fragmented, manual and slow. Every quarter the same story plays out: numbers arrive from a disparate places, sources do not agree, and someone spends their week rebuilding trust from scratch in Excel, hoping nothing slipped through the cracks. It's exhausting. It's avoidable. And it's exactly what Lantern was built to end.

Lantern is not another dashboard. We're building the infrastructure that makes private markets data trustworthy, and we're just getting started.

The Role

As Lantern's first BDR hire in the US, you will play a critical role in our go to market strategy by engaging with potential clients, identifying fit, and booking qualified discovery meetings. You'll sit at the front line, opening doors with the GPs, LPs and administrators who are ready to move past spreadsheets and manual reporting. Every conversation you have and meeting you book will directly shape how Lantern builds its US presence in the world's most important private markets hub.

This is a launchpad role for someone who wants to help define our US go to market from day one, earn outsized influence on how we grow, and gain a career milestone that will follow in years to come.

About You

  • +1 year experience in private markets preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year university
  • A sharp communicator who's confident across phone, email and LinkedIn, with messaging that's clear and compelling.
  • A self-starter who's proactive, persistent and comfortable managing your own outreach cadence to hit KPIs.
  • Excellent organization skills to manage multiple leads across stages and keep CRM records clean and accurate.
  • Passionate about private markets with an eagerness to learn fast.

What You'll Do

  • Research and identify potential clients in our target market using internal tools and external platforms.
  • Run multi channel outreach sequences (email, phone, LinkedIn) to engage and qualify prospects.
  • Build a deep understanding of Lantern's value proposition and communicate it with conviction.
  • Set up discovery meetings for Account Executives and build a robust pipeline.
  • Record and manage activity in the CRM, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
  • Feed insights back to marketing and sales on campaign performance, lead quality and industry trends.
  • Contribute to prospecting strategy, content ideas and sales experimentation as we build the playbook together.

What You'll Get

  • Outsized influence, from day one. As Lantern's first US BDR, you'll help define how we go to market in the US with the opportunity to make an impact quickly.
  • A real career launchpad. Hands on sales experience, mentored by a commercial team that's built and scaled before.
  • A seat at the frontier. Work alongside the world's leading private equity firms and financial institutions as the industry shifts from people-powered to technology-powered.
  • Training and enablement to give you every tool you need to succeed.
  • A competitive package: salary, performance based bonus, benefits, and hybrid flexibility.
