Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering. Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent dense. We particularly like people who are truth-seeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.

About the role

We are seeking an Americas Vertical Marketing Lead to architect and scale Cursor’s enterprise marketing efforts across several key priority industries. In this role, you will build, mentor, and direct a high-performing team of specialized marketers to define the vertical strategy, establish a synchronized calendar of high-impact programs, and create account-based marketing playbooks to drive pipeline and revenue growth. You and your team will serve as trusted partners to our Enterprise Sales Leadership, leveraging deep insights into key accounts and verticals to co-author the GTM blueprint for your verticals.

We are looking for a creative, revenue-minded marketing leader who excels at operating through a team to drive massive pipeline expansion while maintaining a hands-on mentality. You should be equally comfortable partnering with sales on strategic pipeline planning as you are rolling up your sleeves to ensure a flagship experience is flawlessly delivered.

If you are an outcome-obsessed builder who continuously innovates and thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments, we want to talk.

What you’ll do
  • Architect the Vertical Strategy: Partner across the organization to ensure you and your teams are building short and long-term vertical GTM strategies, aligning team programs to account prioritizations, and actively participating in sales planning cycles and QBRs to drive program adoption and success

  • Wall-to-Wall ABM Execution: Oversee multi-tiered, account-based marketing frameworks designed to deeply penetrate target accounts. Guide your team in leveraging user-adoption insights and other signals to enhance marketing effectiveness and drive land and expand revenue cycles

  • High-Touch Field Experiences: Direct a synchronized regional calendar of high-value field activations including bespoke experiences such as executive dinners, immersive customer workshops, account takeovers and industry summits. Leverage and build on key programs and events from field and strategic event teams

  • Outcome Obsession: Hold accountability for full lifecycle execution, ensuring your team delivers targeted executive attendance, logistical excellence, and accelerated post-event sales follow-up

  • Cross-Functional Content & Messaging Governance: Partner with Corporate Marketing Teams to synthesize core product features into field-ready vertical playbooks, campaign assets, and case studies that accelerate deal velocity

  • Data-Driven Optimization: Establish and monitor team KPIs tied to account engagement, penetration, pipeline contribution, and revenue impact. Continuous iteration based on performance data is a must

You may be a fit if
  • Proven Leader: You have 8+ years of progressive leadership experience with a track record of building, scaling, and inspiring high-performing marketing teams

  • Coaching excellence: You have demonstrated ability to develop talent, drive career growth, and create environments where top performers thrive

  • Change management prowess: You have the ability to lead organizational transformation, drive adoption of new processes, and navigate ambiguity in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You see change as an opportunity, not a bug

  • The Data Storyteller: You don't just report numbers; you provide insights. You are fluent in the metrics that drive the business

  • The Communicator: You have exceptional presentation skills. You can build trust with C-suite executives and external partners alike

  • Creative Agility: You fearlessly think outside the standard playbook to deploy memorable experiences across in person, virtual and next gen marketing formats as well as the operational workflows that bring them to life. Be ready and eager to break the mold and go big

Technical & Tactical Toolkit:

  • Mobility: Ability to travel as needed to support theater events and team meetings.
