Vice President – ABS Due Diligence
Our client's Securitized Products Due Diligence team is seeking a Vice President based in New York City. The successful candidate will play a lead role in conducting and overseeing due diligence activities supporting asset-based financing facilities, warehouse lending transactions, portfolio acquisitions, and securitizations across consumer and specialty finance asset classes.
This individual will be responsible for evaluating collateral quality, reviewing operational and compliance controls, assessing third-party diligence and audit reports, and providing independent risk assessments throughout the transaction lifecycle. The role requires extensive interaction with originators, servicers, lenders, auditors, legal counsel, and transaction stakeholders.

Position Overview

The Vice President will lead due diligence reviews related to collateral, operational processes, servicing practices, and regulatory compliance for financing and securitization transactions. The candidate will be expected to identify risks, challenge assumptions, evaluate third-party reviews, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior business and risk stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead due diligence reviews for asset-based financing facilities, warehouse lending transactions, portfolio acquisitions, and securitizations.
  • Review and assess third-party Agreed-Upon Procedures (AUP) reports, audit reports, collateral examinations, and verification testing.
  • Evaluate collateral eligibility, ownership, perfection, borrowing base methodologies, concentration limits, and advance rate assumptions.
  • Perform detailed reviews of borrowing base certificates, collateral tapes, performance data, and reporting packages.
  • Assess operational, servicing, underwriting, collections, and compliance controls of originators and servicers.
  • Identify collateral, operational, regulatory, and reporting risks and provide recommendations to mitigate identified issues.
  • Coordinate with originators, servicers, auditors, consultants, and legal counsel to resolve diligence findings and obtain required documentation.
  • Prepare and present due diligence reports, key findings, and risk assessments to banking, trading, financing, and risk management teams.
  • Monitor existing financing facilities for covenant compliance, collateral performance, and emerging risks.
  • Maintain expertise in structured finance documentation, financing agreements, servicing agreements, securitization documents, and market practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in due diligence, structured finance, ABS, asset-based financing, collateral risk management, or related fields.
  • Strong experience reviewing AUP reports, operational audits, collateral examinations, and third-party diligence reviews.
  • Experience evaluating borrowing bases, collateral eligibility criteria, asset verification testing, and financing covenant compliance.
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending products and ABS asset classes, including personal loans, point-of-sale loans, home improvement loans, solar loans, auto finance, and specialty finance assets.
  • Experience assessing underwriting, servicing, collections, compliance, and operational controls.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify material collateral, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to senior management and transaction stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting asset-based financing facilities and ongoing collateral monitoring programs.
  • Familiarity with collateral field examinations, portfolio audits, and financing surveillance.
  • Experience interacting with rating agencies, lenders, auditors, and third-party diligence firms.
  • RMBS due diligence, mortgage servicing, or securitization experience is a plus.
  • Experience across multiple ABS asset classes preferred.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$200,000.00 - $225,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
