We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Digital Finance to lead Pfizer's global Digital Finance Creation Center and to deliver the Enterprise Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting (PBF) program, which replaces today's bottom-up forecasting process with an AI-native, unbiased and explainable P&L forecast. The digital portfolio covers PBF, Global FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), consolidation and close, external reporting and investor relations, controllership, gross-to-net (GTN), and tax and treasury, together with the Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) platform behind them. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills and a deep understanding of AI and cloud data platforms, with a proven record of leading complex, global programs in a SOX-controlled (Sarbanes-Oxley) finance environment. This role will interact with Senior Vice Presidents and Executive Vice Presidents across Finance, Commercial, PGS, R&D and Digital, and with the executive ATC forum that reviews PBF progress.
This executive sets the direction for Pfizer's digital finance ecosystem, and PBF is the centerpiece. PBF delivers an AI-native Revenue, COGS (cost of goods sold) and OpEx (operating expense) forecast covering all Pfizer revenue, standard COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and clinical trial spend, plus compensation forecasting for all PFE colleagues. The executive also owns the finance platforms that Pfizer's planning and close cycles run on: Oracle EPM (Planning, Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS) and Enterprise Data Management), the GTN application, Global FP&A delivery and support, and the Controller and external reporting solutions. Together they carry Pfizer's SOX controls which continue to receive the highest audit results supporting our strong digital foundation. The role also owns the Finance data foundation which PBF and Global FP&A share.
In addition, this executive directs the delivery partners and vendors behind the program and the platforms, including external firms responsible for strategic guidance, program management and UI/UX design, infrastructure, data modeling and backend configuration, and support. The role calls for influence with SVP and EVP-level leaders, effectiveness in large vendor negotiations, and strong partnership with Finance, Commercial, PGS and R&D Finance leaders.
  • Deliver the enterprise Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting (PBF) transformation. Own end-to-end delivery of the AI-native, explainable P&L forecast, including scope, plan, budget, risks, releases, and updates to the ATC executive forum in partnership with the enterprise program office. Hold the program accountable for measurable outcomes: forecast accuracy against actuals, shorter forecast cycles, and adoption of review by exception. Make release and go-live decisions based on back tested accuracy, with every number carrying a confidence indicator and a traceable source.
  • Influence and align senior executive stakeholders. Serve as the Digital executive partner to SVP and EVP leaders across Finance, Commercial, Global Product Supply (PGS), R&D, and Digital. Lead regular executive steering updates, resolve cross-functional trade-offs, and secure the sponsorship needed for adoption of a single, trusted forecast baseline.
  • Set the Digital Finance technology strategy and roadmap. Define one target architecture across planning, consolidation, close, and SAP finance actuals reporting. Evaluate platforms on return on investment, fit, delivery risk, and total cost of ownership. Prioritize and scale AI and agentic use cases in Finance, with clear value tracking and adoption measures.
  • Ensure controls, compliance, and responsible AI governance. Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and audit readiness across all Finance platforms in scope, sustaining a strong audit record. Establish decision rights, model monitoring, and controls for AI-generated forecasts, so leaders can rely on them in a regulated environment.
  • Ensure reliable, high-performing Finance platforms. Hold accountability for the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite, gross-to-net (GTN), Global FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), consolidation, close, external reporting, controllership, and Tax and Treasury solutions. Ensure dependable support through critical cycles such as quarter-end and year-end close. Support the ESG and Finance support required for all M&A activity.
  • Own the Finance data foundation. Unify actuals, budget, forecast, pricing and GTN, supply, and commercial data into a governed, reconciled, and secure foundation shared by PBF and Global FP&A. Ensure financial and unit forecasts are aligned.
  • Manage strategic vendors and financial performance. Direct system integrators and strategic partners across program management, design, infrastructure, data modeling, and support, with discipline on scope, resourcing, and value. Manage Digital Finance capital and operating budgets, and PBF one-time and run costs, against the approved business case.
  • Lead and develop a global organization. Lead senior directors and their teams across multiple countries, along with matrixed workstream leads and contracted resources. Create a single point of contact for Finance partners, build succession depth, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning .

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus 15 years' experience.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in digital finance leadership roles spanning financial planning and analysis, planning, budgeting and forecasting, consolidation and close, and finance platform delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading an enterprise-scale planning, budgeting and forecasting transformation, ideally AI-driven, from design through global release and adoption.
  • Strong knowledge of finance processes and platforms, including Oracle EPM (Planning, FCCS, Enterprise Data Management), SAP finance, cloud data platforms, and gross-to-net and controllership processes.
  • Demonstrated track record delivering AI and generative AI capabilities at scale with measurable, audited business value, including predictive forecasting and forecast-accuracy measurement.
  • Experience operating in SOX-controlled environments, including audit readiness, IT general controls and model governance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and program management skills, with the ability to influence EVP/SVP-level leaders.
  • Proven experience directing system integrators and strategic vendors on large, multi-workstream programs.
  • Proven experience leading global, multi-country teams of colleagues and contracted resources.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities, including running the platforms while delivering PBF. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making is preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field preferred plus 13 years' experience.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Possible night and weekend work around PBF release dates, quarter-end and year-end close, LE and OPN cycles and SOX audit windows.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time as required, including on-site PBF working sessions and executive reviews.
