The Video Producer will create engaging video content for social media by writing, shooting, and editing. Responsibilities include collaborating with team leads, analyzing video performance, and crafting compelling narratives.
This hybrid position requires a presence in New York
Responsibilities:
Write, shoot, and edit 6-8 vertical format videos for The Real Deal’s social media platforms per week
Appear on camera in videos, accurately telling TRD’s news stories to our social media audience and representing the brand as a growing real estate expert
Work with TRD’s video and social leads to identify key stories and accurately pull out the most interesting details to craft exciting, engaging video content
Write captions, create thumbnails, and analyze successes and missed opportunities among The Real Deal’s video stories
Qualifications:
Top candidates for this position will have a background as a content creator and/or new media journalist
Must write sharp and witty scripts based on news stories, accurately identify the best candidates for video based on dozens of articles published each day on TheRealDeal.com
Must demonstrate excellent editing skills with high proficiency in Adobe Premiere or similar, including experience creating graphics and animations for short-form video
Must be knowledgeable of trends in top video-based social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram and TikTok
Must have a strong understanding of journalism fundamentals. Knowledge of the real estate beat is helpful but not required
