Profound is on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. We’ve scaled from Seed to Series C in 16 months, opened offices in New York, San Francisco, and London, and now count roughly 10% of the Fortune 500 among our customers. Our physical footprint has grown as fast as everything else, and we’re hiring our first dedicated Workplace person to own it. Today this work lives across the Ops team alongside everything else they’re managing. That changes with this hire. You’ll own the experience of working at Profound: the real estate, the operations, and the programming that makes our offices feel like somewhere people actually want to be.

What you’ll do
  • Own Profound’s real estate portfolio across NYC, SF, Buenos Aires, and London, tracking lease terms, renewal windows, TI obligations, and break clauses; lead future space searches and negotiations end to end, from initial LOI through execution, working with our broker partners and outside counsel

  • Translate headcount plans and growth trajectories into space requirements; hold landlords accountable on buildouts and renovations, and coordinate with interior designers and contractors to ensure spaces reflect who we are

  • Set and maintain the standard for what a Profound office feels like, including food service, cleanliness, AV, phone booths, and wifi, and handle the day-to-day mechanics that hold that bar: seating and space utilization, badge access, supply inventory, maintenance requests, and asset tracking

  • Define and evolve Profound’s physical culture as we scale, shaping the environment so it reflects who we are, makes every new hire’s first week feel intentional, and makes our culture visible to candidates before they join

  • Build and run a calendar of in-office programming across all locations, including weekly rituals, monthly events, happy hours, and seasonal moments, partnering with People Ops and recruiting to use the office as a talent and culture tool

  • Build repeatable playbooks for opening new offices, including entity registration, Rippling setup, compliance, and vendor onboarding

  • Own office budgets and work closely with Finance, Legal, and tax counsel on expenses and compliance obligations as we enter new states and countries

Who you are
  • Genuinely passionate about real estate; you follow the market, you have opinions about buildings, and you find lease structures and space economics interesting, not tedious

  • Sharp and fast-moving; you don’t need prior workplace experience to hit the ground running, but you need to be the kind of person who learns a new domain quickly and thoroughly

  • Background in real estate finance, investment banking, private equity, or a similarly analytical field is a plus; we care about how you think more than where you’ve been

  • Operationally excellent; no detail is beneath you, and you follow through on everything

  • Strong opinions about what a great office looks and feels like, and the energy and taste to make it happen

  • Natural connector; you’ll know everyone’s name, and people will come to you when something’s off

  • Comfortable context-switching between a lease negotiation and planning a Friday happy hour without missing a beat

  • High agency; you identify what needs to happen, scope it, and execute without waiting to be managed

  • Thinks about physical space as a product; you have instincts about how layout, light, noise, and amenities affect how people feel and perform, and you care about getting those details right

  • You see workplace design as a craft, and you bring genuine care and taste to every detail

Location

This is an on-site role based in our Union Square, NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $110,000 to $200,000. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process. Our recruiting team will share more details about the full compensation package and benefits as you move through hiring.

Note: All official communication from Profound will come from a @tryprofound.com email address. If you're contacted by anyone using a different domain, please disregard and report it as spam.
