Responsibilities

New York Institute of Technology seeks a Year 2 Exam Coordinator for the Preclinical Education Department at our Long Island campus. Reporting to the Director, the Year 2 Exam Coordinator will:


  • Develop Year 2 exam item request charts/schedule; request items from faculty; track submissions, follow-up.
  • Collate Year 2 Exams; Enter Year 2 items to be used in ExamSoft, inclusive of but not limited to, Exam Tags.
  • Schedule, coordinate, attend and participate in exam meetings to develop Year 2 exams.
  • Share draft exams with course leaders, question writers, and relevant Deans for their review and feedback; edit exam items, as needed.
  • Provide Year 2 students with exam seating information and address student exam-administration related inquiries and student upload related issues.
  • Assist with electronic exam technical issues, as relevant to position.
  • Prepare Year 2 exam administration materials and provide proctoring materials as well as assist with proctoring, as needed.
  • Process exam scoring: Apply statistical analysis to exams, share with relevant others for feedback, update key; score exams; accordingly, provide students/faculty/administrators with results.
  • Post exam scores in the Grading Platform (for all areas - Anatomy, OMM, DPR-ICC, ExamSoft, etc.);
  • Prepare, maintain, and update Year 2 course grade sheets for course for review by deans.
  • Generate lists of Year 2 students/scores for learning specialists to review as well as providing additional exam data, as needed on individual and group performance.
  • Draft a list of students who do not successfully complete courses for review by relevant deans.
  • Attain/Track Year 2 student-exam lateness as well as missed exams and conduct follow-up.
  • Assist with board exam preparation initiatives as they relate to Year 2 course scores.
  • Serve as back-up for Year 1 Exam Coordinator.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Strong computer, interpersonal, and organizational, skills required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Minimum SalaryUSD $60,000.00/Yr. Maximum SalaryUSD $65,000.00/Yr.
